Primary Talks for Children ~ December 2023
December 3 Primary Talk – God Is Our Light
God and Jesus Christ can be a light in our lives if we follow their example. In the Bible we read that, “God is Light.”
During Christmas time, we see lots of lights. They make us feel happy! There are lights on trees and on rooftops. Santa even has a reindeer with a glowing nose to guide his sleigh!
When we follow the light, we are kept safe and we can feel peace.
I hope that we can look for lights this Christmas season and remember that when Jesus was born a new glowing star appeared in the sky. He will always be there to lead and guide us when we need Him.

December 10 Primary Talk – I Can Share My Light
There is a special story in the Bible about lighting a candle. The candle shines for the whole house to see. It brings happiness. The light takes away the darkness. The story teaches us that we are like mirrors that can reflect this special light to others.
The candlelight the story talks about is really love from God and Jesus Christ. When we follow their teachings we can spread their light to others. We can be examples of their goodness.
When we say kind words, serve our friends, be honest with our parents, and choose the right, we are showing the Light of Christ! We can make a difference and make the world a brighter, better place.

December 17 Primary Talk – Trust In Jesus
Before we came to Earth, there was a war in Heaven. We showed our love for Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ by choosing to be on their side. We believed in Them. We were on the winning side!
Did you know that you can still choose to be on the winning side even now that we are on Earth?
It’s true!
We won the war in Heaven by bearing testimony of truth and showing faith in God and Jesus. When we battle with trials in our lives, we can overcome them in the same way.
I hope we can remember to stand up for Jesus and trust that His way is the way to happiness and peace. When we follow Him, we will always be on the winning side.

December 31 Primary Talk – Sing Praises To God
When Jesus was born, a heavenly host of angels sang! Their song was so powerful that the shepherds told everyone about it. The special Christmas song was recorded in the Bible. The angels were bearing testimony that Jesus was a miracle.
When we sing songs about Jesus and Heavenly Father, we spread light and joy. Our words are a testimony of them.
I love to sing the Primary songs. My favorite song is _________________________. I like it because it makes me feel ________________________________!
I hope we can sing about Jesus with happy hearts and bring the Holy Ghost to our Primary each week. When we sing, it makes Heavenly Father happy.
