Share the Gospel: June 1 Primary Talk

The Lord wants us to share the Gospel with others. We are so lucky to know about Jesus and Heavenly Father. We want other people to have the joy of the Gospel in their lives too!

We can share the Gospel in simple ways. Some ideas are:

  • Offer to pray for a friend in need.
  • Talk about things you are grateful for.
  • Offer to do acts of service for others.
  • Tell your friends about Primary.
  • Invite your neighbors to Church activities.
  • Use good and kind language.

We can be an example to others and teach about the Gospel by keeping the commandments and being kind.

The Sabbath is the Lord’s Day: Primary Talk June 8

One of the Ten Commandments asks us to keep the Sabbath Day holy. That means that we should make Sunday a special day. It should feel different than all of the other days of the week.

One big thing we can do to make the Sabbath the Lord’s day is to attend church! When we go to church, we learn about Jesus and we worship Him and Heavenly Father.

When we make the Sabbath day special, it helps us to draw closer to the Savior and remember Him.

I Can Be Reverent: Primary Talk June 15

Do you have a favorite toy or blanket or stuffed animal that you love? You may have received it as a gift or maybe you saved up your money and bought it for yourself! How do you treat the thing that you treasure? Do you take special care of it and protect it with love?

That is what it means to be reverent. When you are reverent you want to be respectful and show how much you care about Heavenly Father and Jesus.

We are reverent at Church because we want others to be able to feel the Spirit. Our church buildings are sacred and when we are reverent we show how grateful we are for the place we have to worship.

I hope we can all try to be reverent today to show God how much we care about Him.

My Heart and Mind: Primary Talk June 22

We read in the scriptures that “the Lord requireth the heart and a willing mind.” Do you know what that means?

I think the first parts means that Jesus wants us to love Him and His Gospel with our hearts. He wants us to feel close to Him and to be part of His family. He wants us to feel happy when we do what is right.

Second, we need to think about the things Jesus taught. We need to study them and know them in our minds. When we think about Jesus and try to remember Him, it helps us to stay on the path back to Heavenly Father.

We need to have our hearts in tune with the Lord and our minds focused on Jesus. When we do both of these things, we can return to Him.

True and Faithful: Primary Talk June 29

The early pioneers of the Church were asked to be “true and faithful.” The Lord needed people He could trust to build up the Church on the Earth!

Heavenly Father needs us to be like the pioneers. We are still being missionaries in our day and spreading the Gospel to all the world.

When we are true we keep the promises we make at baptism. We obey God and honor our covenants by choosing the right.

When we are faithful we trust God. We believe in Him and we have hope in His plan.

I am so glad I can be like the pioneers. I want to be true and faithful so I can help others come to Christ.
