Be Not Idle: July 6 Primary Talk
In the Doctrine and Covenants, the Lord commands the Saints to not be idle. Do you know what it means to be idle? I think it means to be lazy or to stop helping and progressing.
When we are idle, our testimonies cannot grow. We can’t serve our friends and families, and we can’t help the Church grow.
I think some ways to not be idle is to:
- Set Goals
- Follow a Schedule
- Act of Promptings
- Attend Church
- Look for Ways to Serve
If we are actively engaged in a good cause, we will feel the Spirit in our lives and we will be a force for good.

God Wants Us Back – July 13 Primary Talk
There are so many people in the world. Think about everyone who goes to your school or who you see driving around town. Now think about all of the people in your city and state. It is almost too hard to even imagine how many people there are on Earth.
Everyone is a child of God. And He wants us all to come back to Him someday.
He gave use commandments to help us find the easiest path. He gave us the Holy Ghost to help us keep the commandments. We can do it!
I know that we will be happy in Heaven. We will be glad we are living with our Heavenly Father.

Be Thankful – July 20 Primary Talk
The Lord asks us to “receive all things with thankfulness.” That means, we should be grateful! What are you grateful for today? Do you feel blessed to be able to come to church? Are you grateful for the breakfast you had this morning or for the clothes you are wearing right now?
When we are grateful it makes us feel happy. There are a lot of good things that happen each day. When we focus on those good things, it can make a big difference in our lives.
Sometimes hard things happen and it is much harder to feel grateful for them! The Lord has promised us that He will always be with us. So, when life gets hard, we can feel grateful we have Jesus there to help us through it.
I am grateful to be here today. I am grateful that I have the Gospel in my life.

Because I Have Been Given Much – July 27 Primary Talk
Have you heard the saying, “Where much is given, much is required?” Or, do you remember singing the song, “Because I have been given much, I too must give?”
As members of the Church we are very blessed. We get to pray to Heavenly Father. We can learn about Jesus and His life by reading the scriptures. We have a prophet that speaks to us and we have temples where we can make covenants and be sealed together as families.
There are so many blessings in our lives because we have the Gospel. The Lord has asked us to give back!
I can give back by standing up for what I believe and by being a good example to my friends. We can give back by being reverent and listening in Primary. We can show the Lord we are grateful for our gifts by saying thank you in our prayers.
I am grateful I have been given so much.
