Hi to all my friends at Or so she says!

I love Swiss Muesli and this recipe has greek yogurt in it which is one of my favorites!

I’m currently enrolled in the Culinary Arts program at a local university and this recipe was given to me from one of my chefs who is from Austria, so you can believe me when I say that this recipe is fabulous 🙂

Overnight Chocolate Waffles with Strawberry Syrup (she: Jana)

Hey there Or So She Says readers! It’s Jana from Double the Deliciousness. I’m so excited to bring you one of my favorite, easy and amazingly delicious breakfast recipes today. Overnight Chocolate Waffles….yes, you read that right! And to top that off (literally) I have some delightful freshly made strawberry syrup. Chocolate and strawberry; a match made in heaven.

These are so great for busy mornings, or lazy mornings in my case…I’m so NOT a morning person! I’d way rather stay up an extra 10 minutes to make the batter and then sleep in an extra 10 minutes! In the morning heat up your waffle iron and cook away. The strawberry syrup can be made ahead of time as well, and can also be frozen. So when you find some strawberries on sale, stock up and make a whole bunch of strawberry syrup to freeze. Trust me, you’ll want a lot! These would also be a great Easter morning breakfast. One your whole family will love!

Lemon-Coconut Quick Bread (she: Cathy)

Hi there, friends! I’m so happy to be back here with you today, sharing this yummy Lemon-Coconut Quick Bread recipe! We love quick breads, especially for breakfast, and this one is just perfect for spring. It’s packed full of zesty lemon and toasted coconut and topped with a citrus honey butter that’s to-die-for. And best of all, my kids can’t get enough of it!
I find that homemade breakfast options usually go over better than packaged, which I guess is a good thing. The only problem is that I never know what be a favorite and what will be a flop! What I do know is that this bread was a FAVORITE! Not only did all three kids like it, they couldn’t get enough of it…..meaning it’s been gone for a while now. And I definitely need to make more of it!

Irish Soda Buttermilk Scones from Gina @ Kleinworth & Co.

Irish Soda Buttermilk Scones (she: Gina)

Happy March Everyone!!!

It’s Gina from Kleinworth & Co again! I’m back today with St. Patrick’s Day on my mind & ready to share one of my favorite Irish recipes. Do you like St. Patrick’s Day? How do you celebrate? My hubs always loves to have corned beef & cabbage. That’s his specialty. But I like to make a little something too – so I whip up these Irish Soda Buttermilk Scones to go on the side. The nice part about them is that they work well as a side to dinner & the leftovers make a great breakfast when paired with jam. These are so incredibly simple to make. No waiting for them to rise & bake time is only 20 minutes. You can literally whip these together while doing your other dinner prep. For breakfast I just heated the leftovers & spread a little Blueberry Freezer Jam on each bite. The kids loved it.

Southwestern Breakfast Bake ~ Easy & Hearty Breakfast

If I had to pick a favorite meal of the day, and dessert wasn’t an option, I would have to say breakfast. Most of my favorite recipes all fit in the breakfast category: Biscuits and Sausage Gravy, Buttermilk Pancakes, Cinnamon Rolls, Breakfast Fajitas, Butterscotch Bread Pudding… I could go on and on. I’m excited to add another new favorite breakfast recipe to my binder, Southwestern Breakfast Bake. Mmmmm! It was gooooood. I love the combo of everything in this dish… English muffins, sausage, green chilies, eggs, cheese… It’s super easy to make and can be refrigerated uncooked overnight, or baked immediately.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Banana Chip Granola (she: Zainab)

Hi everyone, I’m Zainab the baker behind Blahnik Baker. I’m so excited to be sharing with you this peanut butter chocolate banana chip granola recipe as a new contributor here on OSSS! But before we talk about food, I should probably tell you a little bit about myself.
I’m a newly wed graduate student who is teaching herself her way around making delicious desserts and treats! I didn’t grow up baking like most people and had never baked before attempting to make a V-day cake for my then-fiance a few years ago. It was not the prettiest but he loved it 🙂 Since that disastrous first cake making experience, I’ve been on a mission to teach myself the basics of baking and decorating. That’s how I fell in love with baking and making special treats for my friends and family.

During the day, I work on my PhD in Neuroscience and in my spare time/weekends, I’m a bake-a-holic and shoe-a-holic! I love making easy, simple to assemble yet beautiful everyday desserts. But why am I telling you about all the desserts I make and here sharing a healthy granola? Well, while I would love to be eating cupcakes and cakes for every meal, I don’t. I try to balance my diet with healthier recipes, like this peanut butter granola, for most meals so I can indulge later.

Simple Corn Bread Muffins with Maple Butter (she: Jana)

These simple Corn Bread Muffins are one of my favorites and they are so quick and easy to throw together, they almost always make an appearance with any soup we have. They have just the right amount of sweetness in them and they’re not dry and crumbly like a lot of corn bread can be. They can be eaten plain, with butter or honey, jam or my favorite…maple butter. They make the perfect addition to your favorite soup. And if you’re planning on having soup or chili for the Super Bowl (Go BRONCOS!!! Yes, I’m a Coloradan and a Manning fan!!!) these would make the game (and soup!) even better. So check them out and add them to your party line up (or maybe just your next dinner).

25 Christmas Breakfast Ideas & ‘Your Great Idea’ Link Party

Every year for Christmas, we have my in-laws over for breakfast and present opening. It’s so fun to have grandparents join in on the fun and to share a yummy meal with us. It’s especially fun that we don’t have to leave our house. Yay! The kids get to play with their presents all morning. Mom and Dad get to recover from a long night. And, finally when evening comes, we head out to my family’s house for Christmas dinner. I love our set-up. Love it, love it, love it! Anyway, I get excited every year to plan a scrumptious, but not too time consuming, Christmas breakfast. In the past, I’ve done bread puddings, omelets, biscuits and gravy, and cinnamon rolls. I haven’t decided what to do this year, but I’m starting to think about it. So, today I have 25 Christmas Breakfast Ideas for you… hopefully, it will help us both out!

Banana Oatmeal

Baked Banana Oatmeal

I’m a huge fan of oatmeal, so any oatmeal recipe will quickly peak my curiosity. I’ve had this recipe for Baked Banana Oatmeal kickin’ around the kitchen for a while now, just waiting for me to make it. I tore it out of the Parent & Child magazine and had a hunch it would be perfect for my family. And, it was! …especially with the addition of chocolate chips. It made plenty, was delish, and it’s always nice when I can serve everyone at once. I was afraid it wouldn’t be enough, so I doubled the recipe. But, it made tons! I had an entire 9×13 pan filled and 6 ramekins. So, we’ve been eating this for a couple days now.

Giant Cinnamon Rolls (she: Kate)

The mall is trouble for me – not because of the shopping but because I love all the treats there! And the cinnamon rolls at the mall are one of my biggest weaknesses. They smell like buttery, sugary, carby Heaven, and they taste even better.

These cinnamon rolls have all of the gooey, buttery, cinnamon goodness and are topped with a rich cream cheese frosting. So, you get all of the cinnamon roll deliciousness without the hassle of a trip to the mall.
