On Pinterest, the other day, I stumbled on a grilled sandwich that I had to try: avocado, bacon, and pepperjack cheese on sourdough bread. Hello. Four of the best ingredients in, oh…the whole world.
But, it needed a fifth…
I made the first panini for my sister. She loved it…except, it needed a little juice. So, we doused the second sandwich in ranch dressing, and there it was…heavenly goodness.
So, here’s what you need: ranch dressing, sourdough bread, bacon, avocado, and pepperjack cheese.
If you’re into fresh tomatoes…I imagine that would make a great addition.
A couple recommendations:
First, Litehouse Homestyle Ranch is my favorite ranch! Soooo much better than Hidden Valley.
Second, at Costco they sell big bags of Hormel pre-cooked bacon. It’s the best pre-cooked bacon that I’ve tried…and it comes in bulk. You can never have enough bacon in your life. I just keep several packages in the freezer and use it to crumble on salads, put in breakfast burritos, and on sandwiches. It makes cooking so much easier.
It’s so worth the 700 calories. Oh, see those Veggie Straws behind the sandwich?? They’re good and only 130 calories for a small bag! I use them to satisfy any salty cravings. You can get them in a big box at Costco that has all sorts of flavors (BBQ and Cheddar are the best!)
Love sandwiches?? I’ve got some good one’s you don’t want to miss out on, here’s a few…
Ooh, I want to try all these sandwiches this summer! Thanks for the pictures and recipes. that watermelon in the last one makes me want to run to the nearest Meijer to see if they have any in stock yet!
Mmmmm….I’m excited for watermelon too! I’ve been itching to try watermelon lemonade. 🙂
Mmmm! Costco’s pre-cooked bacon is the BEST!
