Hey Everyone! It’s Adelle from Packed with Fun, the official blog for Get Away Today. I hope you’ve been having a great New Year! Over the holidays we put together a Not-Quite-Midnight Ball for my little princesses and their friends so that they could celebrate New Years Eve without staying up all hours of the night. You can read all about it here. It was a perfect princess party and one of the highlights was the Wish-Come-True Surprise Cupcakes. They were so easy and so much fun to make, plus the girls all loved them. If you have a princess party coming up, or just want to surprise your princess, try out this princess cupcake tutorial.

Hey Everyone, it’s Adelle from Packed with Fun, the official blog for Get Away Today. We love all things Disney, and let’s face it, candied apples are one of the best things about fall. So, we combined two of our greatest loves and have put together four different types of Disney inspired apples.
Some tricks for making your own apples – freeze your apples the night before dipping them in caramel. Then, be sure to refrigerate your apples for as long as possible before dipping in chocolate. Again, we recommend overnight if possible.

Olaf Beach Ball Game and Printable (she: Adelle)
Hey Everyone, it’s Adelle from over at PackedwithFun.com, the official blog for Get Away Today, where I get to share fun ways to keep vacation magic alive at home. School has started and depending on where you live, fall may already be in the air. Although I love the change of the seasons, every once in a while I start to feel a little like Olaf and wish to bring back summer!
A few months ago I put together this Olaf beach ball game and printable that is perfect for those days when your kids long for some summer fun. My kids have had so much fun with it, that I wanted to share it with you!
You can play any basketball-type game at your party with the Olaf hoop. We bought a 24 pack of 6-inch beach balls for less than $10 at the party store. We used them as decorations for our Frozen themed party, in the Olaf Ball Game and then gave them to the kids to take home as a party favor! We of course held onto a few beach balls and the Olaf inspired summer fun continues on at our house year round.
Easy and Yummy Lime Mickey Recipe (she: Adelle)
Hi Everyone! It’s Adelle from PackedwithFun.com, the official blog for Get Away Today. On a hot day there is nothing quite as refreshing as a Lime Rickey. Since we’re always trying to recreate some Disney magic at home, we decided to make our favorite drink with a twist and call them Lime Mickeys. They were a hit with my kids and I think they’ll be a hit with yours too!
You could get really creative here and use this recipe to make all sorts of syrup flavors. Cherry, Peach-Mango, Green Apple, Fruit Punch… the combinations are endless! Once you’re done with your syrup, transfer it into a container that will be good for pouring and storage.
Disneyland’s Bengal Barbecue Recipe Round-up
Hey Everyone, it’s Adelle from Packed with Fun, the official blog for Get Away Today. Summer is the season for two of my favorite things: Disneyland vacations and barbecue. My combined love for the two inspired me to re-create the recipes for one of my family’s most craved meals at Disneyland – Bengal Barbecue. My kids love the skewers because they are yummy and fun to eat. I love them for the same reasons, but also because they’re one of the more affordable meal options inside the park. At $4 a skewer, it can’t be beat… unless you make them at home!

Hey Everyone! It’s Adelle from over at Packed with Fun, the official blog for Get Away Today. My kids are already counting down the days to the end of school, but today I wanted to share a different kind of countdown. The days leading up to a Disneyland Vacation are some of the longest days of the year! Why not make the vacation countdown a little bit more magical and fun with a Mickey Mouse Chalkboard counting down your days until vacation? Your kids can take turns being in charge of updating the vacation countdown and decorating it. Watch the days pass by with chalk doodles and destination departure reminders on your family’s Mickey Mouse Board.
Simple Jolly Rancher Minion Lollipop Tutorial … all you need is 10 minutes! (she: Adelle)
One of the cutest little creatures created for the big screen are the Minions from Despicable Me. They are so silly and likable! My kids love them. We are really excited to visit the new Minion Mayhem attraction and Super Silly Fun Land at Universal Studios Hollywood that opens April 10. I hear you get to become a Minion and can play in a carnival made just for Minions! Fun, right? In the meantime, you can bring some Minion Mayhem into your home by making these tasty Jolly Rancher Minion lollipops. This project is so easy – even little kids can do it! And, it only takes about 10 minutes from start to finish.
