One of my favorite holiday traditions is our Creepy Halloween Meal. Most of the time I make it for dinner, but it works great for breakfast as well! Look at that menu! Who wouldn’t want to eat that?! mmmmm…yummy!

My goal has always been to do something fun, but it also needed to be something that my kids would actually eat. Nothing against an eyeball made out of a radish and a sliced olive, but personally, my kids wouldn’t touch it. 🙂 My other goal was to not spend a lot of money on a bunch of different little items to create a fun meal. So, I decided to just use one of their favorite meals and “creepify” it. Because it’s one of our favorite meals, I typically already have most everything I need. And that’s how our Creepy Halloween Meal began.
We have Rotten Pumpkin Fritters (orange colored pancakes), Whipped Snail Slime (butter/margarine), Goblin Drool (syrup), Scrambled Brains (scrambled eggs w/food coloring), Fried Intestines (bacon), Ghost Dandruff (powdered sugar), Maggot Butter (peanut butter), Sliced Kidneys (sausage patties), Bloody Nuggets (strawberries), Werewolf Eyeballs (grapes), and Witches Brew (your favorite juice).
I always throw in some weird random treats to make it fun. You know your kdis better than anyone else, so just have fun with it. Right now the Dollar Tree has some AWESOME Halloween goodies.
When you are ready for your own creepy Halloween meal, you can print the tags out here.
The best part about this kind of meal is that you really can take their favorite meal and get creative. Don’t believe me or need help? Send me your menu and I’ll give you some ideas!

Perfect! A fun, easy and creative “creepy” meal that my kiddos would eat! Plus, it’s easy for me to cook on what is usually a very hectic night! Love it!
