Last year, I was having the hardest time thinking of a gift for a favorite friend.  You know how it goes.  Anyway, I finally came up with an idea that I loved!  I loved it so much that I had to make it for myself too 🙂  I’ve been saving this idea and pictures for y’all…I knew it would be a great Christmas gift for that crafty lady on your list!
Gift Ideas for Craft Lovers:

Anyway, have you ever been Etsy-shopping and you see soooo many things that are cute that you could just make yourself??  Say “yes.”  The hardest part about making something yourself is usually just getting all the supplies.  So, I thought it would be fun to put together some ready-to-go craft kits…and not kits to make nerd-butt crafts, I’m talking cutie-cute-cute.

Here’s what I did: I browsed Etsy and picked out four of my favorite looks-not-to-hard-to-make-and-is-super-cute items.  I then found a how-to tutorial for them online, printed them off, found all the supplies for each one and put them in their own Ziploc bag.Check it out…
Here’s a kit for those fun bead watches.  I printed of this tutorial.  We also have a beaded watch tutorial here on this blog, its a great one but the pictures are a little dark.

This is a kit for the super cool stamped washer necklaces, tutorial here…

And, here we have a kit for scrabble tile pendants (great for little girls!)…tutorial, here.

And, finally a personalized photo jewelery kit…tutorial, here.
Now, they’re ready to put in a cute box and give away!  If four kits gets a little too expensive, just give your favorite 2 kits.  There are so many fun ideas on Etsy and the internet is chuck-full of tutorials.  You don’t just have to do jewelry…you could do knitting kits, sewing kits, anything!

If you’re feeling extra generous, throw in a craft book related to your kits…in case they want to expand on their new-found skills.
I added this super fabulous book with my kits…Bead On A Wire…
and I also threw in a DVD box set of The Gilmore Girls to entertain while the special lady is crafting her heart out. (Thanks to rave reviews by the lovely, Jessica.)
Other crafty tutorials on “Or so she says…” that would make great kits…
Freezer Paper Stencils
Fabric Flower Hair Bows
Silverware Wind Chimes
Bath Salts and Scrubs
Vintage Book Memory Game
