Kristie (a.k.a. Blushing Basics) is a lover of all things artistic, makeup just happens to be one of her favorite mediums. Working as a makeup artist she had several requests on this topic so she began posting video tutorials on how to apply make up here. Included in her blog are also tips, product reviews, and of course a little frugal fashion advice.
Let me give a you a bit of a disclosure. I am not a costume makeup artist. I am a “make you look pretty, glam up your eyes”, kind of makeup artist. However, I thought it would be fun to show you that professional costume makeup artist or not, you too can get fun halloween makeup. Please watch, enjoy, and hopefully this will provoke some ideas of your own.
For this tutorial you will need:
a little bit of creativity,
a small amount of daring,
and a large dose of corniness.
Thanks for watching. If you are interested in the “make you look pretty” makeup, please check out my blog.
xo,
Wow, this Kristie is fantastic! I’d totally love to go as Snow White’s beautiful wicked stepmother and the huntsman to the work Halloween party this year. Darnit, my queen dress is packed away somewhere deep. Maybe next year I’ll do it and I can come back to this tutorial for tips. Happily, I probably wouldn’t even need to cover existing eyebrows on myself before applying black since my own are almost invisible!
What cool ideas! I’m loving all that you can do with makeup. It’s like a whole new world just opened up!
