This ocean Jello Dessert is the perfect addition to your next summer party - Whether you're watching

Hi there! Sierra here from The Winking Apple Etsy shop! Can you believe summer is coming to an end soon? I’m just not ready! ? I’m sharing this super fun ocean JELLO dessert for you today so you can savor the last month of summer a little longer. It’s an adaptation of one of my favorite jello pretzel dessert recipes that I know you and your kids will love!

First, let’s grab our ingredients to get started! You will need:

2 cups finely crushed pretzels

1/2 cup sugar, divided

3/4 cup butter

1 1/2 pkg. Cream Cheese, softened

2 Tbsp. milk

1 cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

2 cups boiling water

2 boxes- (1.5 oz each makes 6 1/6 cups) of JELL-O “Frozen Chilled Berry” Flavor Gelatin (It has Elsa on the front ?)

3 cups of cold water

1 package of Swedish fish

  1. First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine crushed pretzel crumbs (my kids love helping with the crushing part ?) , 1/4 cup of sugar and melted butter and press into the bottom of a 9X13 inch glass dish or pan. Bake for 10-12 minutes and cool.
  3. Beat cream cheese, the other 1/4 cup of sugar and milk with a mixer. Stir in the cool whip and spread over the pretzel crust. Refrigerate.
  4. Add boiling water to gelatin mix in large bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Stir in 3 cups of cold water. Chill until partially set. Pour over cream cheese layer and refrigerate until firm.
  5. When the jello is completely firm, (about 4 hours) make slits in the jello (the length of the Swedish fish) and insert the fish. Add them all over the top layer of the dessert to create a fish filled ocean!

Or So She Says- Ocean Jell-o Dessert

Isn’t it fun? And I’m sure the kids will love helping you stuff those fish right into the ocean you’ve made.
