{my little family}
Hey y’all {oh no my southernness just came out!} It’s me Amy from Buggie and Jellybean.
I am sharing one of my favorite projects. I have been making Popcorn Ticket Roll Bowls for at least 10 years now. Usually I give them as gifts, they are perfect for birthdays, engagements, housewarmings and many many more occasions! These are always a huge hit.
So to start here is what you will need:
– A roll of tickets {you can get these at Party City and most office supply stores}
– A sheet of cork
– Mod Podge {I perfer the hard coat for this project}
– A can of acrylic coating
– Scissors
– Pen
– Sponge brush
Take the ticket roll and trace the circle on the cork sheet.
Step 2:
Cut out the circle. I suggest cutting it outside the line and then trimming to fit. Since the cork can crumbly and cut uneven. Then put it in the hole of the roll {Ha that sounds funny!}.
Step 3:
Take the ticket roll and start from the center and push out to start shaping a bowl. Now make sure you are doing this right side up {you do not want your “admit one” upside down}.
Once you have the shape you like, it will be time to Mod Podge. Make sure to coat heavily and get into all the cracks of the roll. I would do two coats and let dry at least an hour in between coats.
Once the second coat of Mod Podge has dried, take outside to a well ventilated area and spray with the acrylic. This dries quickly, so do two coats back to back. Then I would leave in a protected outside area, ie the garage over night.
After a little sleep over in the garage you will have one of these cuties to enjoy!
They are the perfect vessel to load with movie tickets, gift cards, favorite boxes of candy and bags of popcorn! Also if you are having one of those SUPER popular carnival parties, they would make the perfect addition. Just make sure to tell your receiver to use a damp cloth to clean. I hope y’all {there I go again!} enjoy this tutorial. I would love if you would come over and visit me at Buggie and Jellybean!
Very clever! You’re right, that would be perfect to use for a little movie themed gift basket! Thanks so much 🙂
This is awesome. Period.
This is a total SCREAM! I love it so much! I hope you don’t mind my linking up this post on my site.

Thanks!
That is really cute. I have a whole bunch of tickets ready to go to the DI, but now I am going to save them and make one of these!!
I have a roll of tickets in my closet I’ve been debating what to do with… looks like I just found a fun project!!! a teacher friend had a carnival themed classroom that this would be ideal for!
Cute gift for movie lovers! Thanks Amy!
That is so clever! Thanks for sharing.
