How is it already the middle of March? I love this time of year! But I feel that way about every new season. I love the anticipation of what’s to come. The warmer weather, the spring flowers, the green grass, and blossoms on the trees. Such a beautiful, refreshing time of year! And, of course, I love the holidays associated with each season as well.
St, Patrick’s Day is such a fun holiday at our house because my three boys are at the ages where they are obsessed with leprechauns, especially catching one. I on the other hand cannot stop thinking about the Bloom Magic Flowers I saw in Ireland on St. Patrick’s Day a few years ago. They honestly have been working on ideas for this year’s leprechaun trap since they “just missed” him with last year’s trap. We’ll see what happens this year!
Along with leprechaun traps, we always love a good St. Patrick’s Day game. Last year I shared our Roll-A-Leprechaun game (still a family favorite) here at Or So She Says, and this year I have a printable St. Patrick’s Day tic-tac-toe game for you. I have a valentine tic-tac-toe game that we use at our house, and my four-year-old loves it! So, I thought I’d make a St. Paddy’s Day version in honor of this Irish-inspired holiday.
Just click on the link below and you can print out the game board, and the two sets of shamrocks. Once you’ve printed out the three pages, you will need to cut out the shamrocks (you can do it the simple way, and just cut out the squares, or be intricate and cut around each individual shamrock). Then you’re all ready to play. One person can be the light green three-leafed shamrocks, and the other person will be the dark green four-leafed shamrocks. I know you know the rules- three in a row wins. The perfect, simple game for any St. Patrick’s Day parties you may have coming up, or just for fun at home.
You can click here to print out your own St. Patrick’s Day tic-tac-toe board and shamrocks.
I’d love for you to stop by and visit me anytime at Blissful Roots. I have some fun St. Patrick’s Day printables, my favorite mint chocolate brownie recipe, and a fun leprechaun activity you can check out.
Thanks, Mariel (and readers) for letting me be here every month. Always such a pleasure! Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you all. Don’t forget your green, or your leprechaun traps!
