Since it’s my first time to post here at Or So She Says this year, I want to wish you all a very happy New Year from Creative Carmella! We have enjoyed a lot of family time over the holidays and I have enjoyed having a little extra time to craft while the kiddos have been happily playing with all of their Christmas loot! Today I wanted to share a quick little makeover for a pair of winter gloves. We still have lots of cold days ahead of us but winter items are usually on clearance right now so stock up and create some one of a kind gloves to sport all winter long!

Winter Gloves Makeover

Winter Gloves Makeover:

Start with a pair of gloves… a simple pair of cotton gloves are great for this project.

Now, cut yourself a little template out of card stock. Triangle shape, but with a rounded bottom instead of a straight edge, about and inch wide should do the trick.

Trace your template onto felt {you can find felt by the sheet at any craft store… I found these natural colors at Hobby Lobby} and cut out 4 “petals.”

Gather the pointed end and and run a stitch with an embroidery needle and thread.

4

Don’t tie off the thread until all four petals are stitched. Finish by pulling the thread tightly and arranging the petals before tying the thread in a knot.

Now you are ready to cut some leaves for your flower… I cut a couple free hand out of a natural green piece of felt.

All there is left to do is to stitch each piece into place and give your gloved self a high five… you just made yourself a cute, one of a kind pair of gloves!
