THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED. CONGRATS TO THE WINNERS: MICHELLE PETERSON AND BECKY PETERS!

I love family traditions, and I love things that draw me closer to Christ during the holidays. So I was so excited to learn about a wonderful family-run business that provides both with their beautiful 25 Days of Christ Ornament Kit!

25Day_book

The Ornament Kit comes complete with a well organized and thoughtful 25 Days of Christ book that’s full of ideas and scripture references to help your family learn about the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Each day for 25 days, you can gather your loved ones around you and read scripture stories as your family places a symbolic ornament on your tree each night. What a beautiful way to help bring the Christmas spirit into your home and make memories your family will always cherish.

Each of the 25 ornaments are very thoughtful and full of symbolism. You can purchase an Ornament Kit that is already completed (although they’re already sold out for this year), or you can make even more family memories by completing the ornaments yourself. You only need a few basic supplies and a few hours to finish off your ornaments as one-of-a-kind family treasures. The 25 Days of Christ web site has detailed instructions and photos if you feel like you need specific directions. Your kids will love the opportunity to help create your Ornament Kit. My kids could hardly wait to get started!

I love the idea of starting our first annual “25 Days of Christ” tradition on the day after Thanksgiving because we’ll finish up before things get too hectic right around Christmas. The great thing about this new family tradition is that you can make it your own. Start after Thanksgiving, on December 1st or do several every week for Family Home Evening. The 25 Days of Christ book has scripture references, quotes, pictures and video suggestions (available on lds.org) for you to choose from. Days 24 and 25 have the option to read stories that are recorded in the New Testament and/or The Book of Mormon. Any Christian of any denomination will appreciate the opportunity this lovely Ornament Kit gives your family to learn more about Jesus Christ.

This reminds me, I need to get my ornaments all painted and put together from last year. My kit isn’t doing me any good half-finished!
