How I Learned to Enjoy Motherhood Again (she: Elise)

Why didn’t other moms feel warm and fuzzy about their kids like I felt about mine? I smiled to myself as I thought, “Oh, that is so sad. I’m so glad that I have this whole mom thing together, and love my little girl so much.” Most of all, I thought that I must be doing something right and they must be doing something wrong. I totally judged! Read the post to find out how my perspective changed.

25 Clever Chore Charts That Will Motivate Anyone (she: Mariah)

I was recently “inspired” to make a chore chart for my little guy. Yes, he is only 2 years old, but I really want him to grow up understanding the importance of helping out at home and cleaning up after yourself. I knew there were little things around the house that he would be more than capable of helping with and I knew that a chore chart would get him excited.

Mirror, Mirror Family Night Lesson Inspired by Snow White (she: Adelle)

Mirror Mirror on the Wall, who is the fairest of them all? In the classic fairy tale, Snow White was the fairest maiden in the kingdom. But, it wasn’t her milky white skin or ruby red lips that made her the best. It was her kindness and goodness and her pure heart that made her the fairest of them all! If we looked in a magic mirror, what would our reflection say about us? Today’s family night lesson is about “Spiritual Mirrors.”

Family Night Fun: How to Create a Strong Family (she: Veronica)

We’ve recently moved and I’ve noticed how the stress and chaos of it all has started to affect our family. We’ve had more contention, less patience and you know the rest of the story. We all have those periods of time in our families.

One night recently, we sat down as a family and I asked the simple question, “What makes a strong family?”. One by one we talked about that question and made some decisions of things we could do to strengthen our family. That sparked an idea for a Family Night, so that’s what I’m going to share with you this month.

Respecting Police Officers may be of more importance now that ever before. There's a lot going on in the world today and this Family Night lesson aims to teach our children about the important work law enforcement does and how we can show our gratitude.

Respecting Police Officers – Family Night Lesson (she: Adelle)

There are so many negative things going on in the Media about police officers in our country. It makes me sad. The men and women who serve and protect our families are an important part of our communities. I created this Family Night activity and lesson to help us show our local law enforcement officers some appreciation and thanks. It is also gives you, as parents, some talking points to go over with your children about how to respect and support their local community leaders.

Adelle has prepared yet another wonderful Family Night lesson for us! This one focuses on seeing the world through SON glasses.

Seeing the World Through “SON” Glasses Family Night Lesson (she: Adelle)

The way we view the world, situations, and our relationships ultimately determines our happiness. It is called perception. Have you ever heard the expression, “She looks at the world through rose colored glasses?” What does that mean? It means that a person looks at the world in a positive or “rosy” way. What if we looked at the world through Jesus, the Son of God’s, eyes? How would we view ourselves? How would we see others? Would it change the way we act and think? I believe it would.
