March 2 Primary Talk: God Loves Us

Heavenly Father loves us so much! I know this because I can feel His love for me. We can read about His love for us in the Doctrine and Covenants. The scriptures tell us that the worth of souls is great in the sight of God. That means that we are Heavenly Father’s riches. We are His treasures!

Does it make you feel happy to know that God loves you and thinks you are valuable?

One of the biggest blessings of being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is that we know our worth. We feel God’s love and know that He loves us so much! No matter what anyone else says or does, we can feel proud of who we are! I hope you can always remember how special you are.

March 9 Primary Talk: Do Hard Things

Sometimes God asks us to do hard things! There are a lot of scripture stories about prophets who were asked to do something really hard and they were blessed for their obedience. Nephi, Moroni, Daniel, Abinadi, John, and Helaman are all examples of people who had to do hard things for the Lord!

We can follow their example of faith and strength! We can be like our scripture heroes.

When we are faced with trials, we can choose to do what is right. The Holy Ghost will help us know what to do. It is not always easy, but the Lord blesses us when we obey.

March 16 Primary Talk: Follow The Prophet

Our prophet is President Russell M. Nelson! He has been the President of the Church for 7 years. He was a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles for 34 years!

He is a very smart man. He is also humble and full of love. He cares about us so much. When the prophet speaks, he speaks for the Lord. He tells us what the Lord wants us to know.

We have a chance to listen to the prophet during General Conference in April. I hope that we can listen to his words and that we can feel his love and also the love of God!

When we follow the prophet, we are protected and blessed.

March 23 Primary Talk: Sustaining Leaders

During General Conference we get the chance to sustain our church leaders. Do you know what the word “sustain” means? It means that we support them and give them our trust.

When we raise our hand to show that we sustain our prophet it means that we love him and that we will listen to his words and follow his warnings. It also means that we say good things about him and that we trust him.

I am excited to sustain our prophet! I like raising my hand to show my love for him.

We sustain other people too! We get to support our primary teachers, activity day leaders and our Bishop! We can sustain them by coming to church ready to listen and be reverent. When we love and support each other it makes Church a place of love and peace.

March 30 Primary Talk: The Sacrament

Each Sunday when we attend Sacrament Meeting, we have the chance to take the Sacrament. The sacrament is a sacred time.

The bread and water are symbols of Jesus Christ. The bread helps us remember His body and the water helps us remember His blood. Jesus suffered and died for us so that we could be forgiven of our sins and return to live with God again!

When we take time during the Sacrament each Sunday to remember Jesus, it makes Him happy! We feel closer to Him when we think about Him. We are so lucky we know Jesus! He is our brother and He loves us.

I hope we can remember Him and His sacrifice when we take the Sacrament.
