Summer is here and that means SUMMER VACATION is here, too! The Disneyland Resort is many a family’s choice when it comes to summer vacation destinations. My kids are already counting down the days to the end of school, but today I wanted to share a different kind of countdown. The days leading up to a Disneyland Vacation are some of the longest days of the year! Why not make the vacation countdown a little bit more magical and fun with a Mickey Mouse Chalkboard counting down your days until vacation? Your kids can take turns being in charge of updating the vacation countdown and decorating it. Tips for Taking Your Baby to Disneyland (she: Kim)

We are what you might call a “Disney family.” We have been to Disneyland too many times to count, but this last time was a little different for us – it was our first Disneyland trip with a baby! We had our son, Liam, last May and as crazy as it may sound, we couldn’t wait to take him to Disneyland! At just nine months old, we loved watching him experience so many things for the first time. It was an adventure and tons of fun to see how he would react and interact with the attractions, shows, characters, scenery and people. Since we were traveling with a baby, I was very aware of all of the other babies on vacation – and there were MANY – some as young as a few weeks old. Although I’d been to the Disneyland Resort so many times before, this trip was quite different. Because we’re seasoned Disney travelers, we were pretty well prepared and had an idea of what to expect, but still had a few surprises. I have compiled my best tips and tricks that made our baby’s first Disneyland vacation a stress-free and fun-filled one. Hopefully it’ll make taking your baby to Disneyland a whole lot easier, too!

Disney Cruise Review ~ Our 2013 Family Vaction! Part 2

So, yesterday was the Disney Cruise review of our experience on the ship. Today, I thought it would be fun to share with you our experiences off the ship, at the different ports we went to.

As much fun as it was on the boat, it was always fun to get off the ship too. Play on the beaches, tour the towns, shop for our baby back home, try the local foods, and get our feet on stable ground. When you get off the ships, Disney makes it super easy to know the different places you can go to, as well as when and how to get back to the ship, before it departs. You typically arrive at a port first thing in the morning (or in the middle of the night.) Then we were usually allowed to leave the ship until 4:00 or 5:00 p.m.

I’m back!! Did you even know I was gone?? Dan and I just took all the kids, minus the babe, on our first Disney Cruise. It was a dream come true… seriously! Going on a Disney Cruise has always been at the top of my list, so it was amazing to finally go.

Before we left on our cruise, I scoured the internet, looking for everything I could find about Disney cruises. I really wanted to know what they were like. What could I expect?? So, with that in mind, I took oodles of pictures for you and lots of notes so I can share a great Disney Cruise review, give you some tips, and an idea of what the cruise is all about.
