Hello, Friends! It’s Cathy from Lemon Tree Dwelling, here today to share a delicious holiday breakfast recipe with you! Believe it or not, Christmas is just one week away….and I don’t know about you, but I’m not quite ready! I still have a few gifts to buy, a few treats to package up, a few Christmas dresses to find…..oh – and some food to think about!
Delicious Pound Cake French Toast topped with cherry pie filling and sprinkled with powdered sugar. The perfect breakfast for Christmas morning!
Bacon Apple Cheddar Biscuits (she: Cathy)
These biscuits are soft, buttery, cheesy, and loaded with the delicious flavors of apple and bacon. They come together in a saucepan in just minutes, you bake them in muffin tins, and they make the perfect accompaniment to any dish. Namely turkey, or potatoes, or cranberries, or stuffing, or salad…! As for the theme, I’m thinking bacon! Can you really go wrong??

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Mug Cake (she: Cathy)
This Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Mug Cake is perfect for fall…..and not just because of the pumpkin, but because it’s a great way for kids to get involved in the kitchen! With the start of the school year, my kids want nothing more than a little extra time with mom. What better place to get it than the room I clearly spend the most time in??

Mushroom Soft Tacos with Parmesan Cheese (she: Cathy)
Hey, friends! It’s Cathy from Lemon Tree Dwelling….back again to share some yumminess with you! I’m sure I’m not alone when I say I CAN’T BELIEVE summer is over! It seriously flew by….and I must say….now that fall is here I’m not sure I’m exactly ready!
Don’t get me wrong…..I’m definitely excited for the kids to be back in school and for our lives to have a little more structure. I’m excited for them to get to know their new teachers and meet some new friends and get back into all their activities. And I’m more than excited to have a little more time to myself!
But. Back to school means back to a busy schedule. And less time than ever to make (and eat) dinner together as a family! Which is exactly where this recipe for delicious Mushroom Soft Tacos comes in.
Gnocchi Marinara Melt (she: Cathy)
Hey, Or So She Says! It’s Cathy from Lemon Tree Dwelling, here today to share another delicious recipe with you. Okay….I know it’s the middle of summer, and you’re probably grilling out and eating light….but every now and then, don’t you feel like you just need some good comfort food? I know I do, and this recipe is just that!
Have you ever tried gnocchi? I’m a HUGE fan of it, and have been ever since my sister worked at an Italian restaurant back in high school. I would order gnocchi with marinara sauce every chance I got….and it always felt like such a treat! Since having kids I’ve rediscovered it….and now my whole family loves it! (Score!)
Greek Yogurt Dip Recipe – Perfect for Summer Produce!
Hey there, Or So She Says friends! It’s Cathy from Lemon Tree Dwelling, here today to share a fabulous SKINNY summer recipe with you! It’s that time of year…..bathing suit time….which, around here, is always a little bit daunting. This year it is especially daunting, because I just had a BABY!!
Made with plain Greek yogurt, Greek seasoning, minced garlic, lemon juice, kosher salt, and fresh ground pepper, this dip is naturally fat free, full of protein, and perfect for dipping your favorite summer veggies. It would be extra delicious with a sprinkle of feta cheese….but that sorta takes away the “skinny”. Either way, it has become my favorite new way to eat veggies…during bathing suit season, post-baby, or anytime!
Grilled Italian Sausage Sandwiches (she: Cathy)
Happy Thursday to all my friends at Or So She Says! And not just any Thursday….but the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend….the unofficial kick-off to summer. Do you have any big plans for the weekend? Whether you are having a big party, getting together with family and friends, or just staying home, I have a delicious last minute meal for you: Grilled Italian Sausage Sandwiches!
I grew up on Italian Sausage Sandwiches….my mom used to make them in the crock pot with green peppers and marinara sauce….and what I love about them is that they are jam packed with flavor! Whereas burgers and hot dogs (the usual grill suspects) rely on the condiments to do all the work, Italian Sausages hardly need condiments at all! (Of course, the condiments definitely don’t hurt….!)
It can’t get much easier than this, so check it out today!
Raspberry Citrus Green Tea Cooler (she: Cathy)
Hello, Or So She Says! It’s Cathy from Lemon Tree Dwelling and I’m happy to be back to share this simple, delicious, raspberry citrus green tea cooler recipe with you! The weather in Wisconsin has finally started to warm up, and all I can think about is getting outside and soaking up the sunshine! We’re not quite there yet (the temperatures have been in the 50’s this week)….but soon enough we’ll turn a corner, and we’ll be spending all our days outdoors! (When it’s only warm 3-4 months out of the year, you take advantage of it!)
Lemon-Coconut Quick Bread (she: Cathy)
Hi there, friends! I’m so happy to be back here with you today, sharing this yummy Lemon-Coconut Quick Bread recipe! We love quick breads, especially for breakfast, and this one is just perfect for spring. It’s packed full of zesty lemon and toasted coconut and topped with a citrus honey butter that’s to-die-for. And best of all, my kids can’t get enough of it!
I find that homemade breakfast options usually go over better than packaged, which I guess is a good thing. The only problem is that I never know what be a favorite and what will be a flop! What I do know is that this bread was a FAVORITE! Not only did all three kids like it, they couldn’t get enough of it…..meaning it’s been gone for a while now. And I definitely need to make more of it!
BBQ Ranch Chicken Wrap … a la Cheesecake Factory (she: Cathy)
Hello again to all my friends at Or so She Says! It’s Cathy from Lemon Tree Dwelling and I’m so happy to be back today sharing this delicious BBQ ranch chicken wrap with you. It’s inspired by one of my all-time favorite salads from The Cheesecake Factory and is loaded with all kinds of goodness….like grilled corn and avocado and black beans and crispy onion rings….all smothered in a combination of ranch dressing and BBQ sauce. In other words, it’s pretty much the best wrap ever!!
I was inspired to make it after a recent trip to The Cheesecake Factory to celebrate my neighbor’s birthday. I have GREAT neighbors – we are lucky that way – but since the winter weather has been so brutal, none of us has set foot outside! So it had been forever since we’d seen one another! That’s typically how it goes in wintertime, at least around here…..we can go months without ever laying eyes on the people who live right next door!
White Bean Pesto Soup (she: Cathy)
I don’t know about where you live….but where I live, it’s COLD! Not as cold as it has been, that’s for sure, but cold enough that you don’t really want to be outside. EVER! And cold enough that when you are outside for any extended period of time, all you want to do is come back inside, put on some sweatpants, and eat a big bowl of soup! This White Bean Pesto Soup is the perfect thing to cozy up to on a cold winter day. It combines some of my favorite things….and best of all, it’s topped with a big spoonful of pesto to give it an amazingly rich and delicious flavor! So even if you did happen to find yourself outside in the cold, you wouldn’t mind. Because at least you’d know you have THIS to look forward to!
