Printable Valentine Tag… Stuck-On-You! (she: Anne)

Hi OSSS readers! Anne here, back with a printable Valentine tag for ya.

I think that I am with almost all other crafters out there when I scream, from the mountain tops, how much I love the Target Dollar Spot. I mean, can you ever make it 20 yards in before getting sucked in, regardless of what you went in there for in the first place? They always have such cute, seasonal things to create with. A couple of weeks ago I was in there, and how on Earth I was even thinking about Valentine’s Day ideas at that moment is beyond me. But I saw all of those cute post-it notes and the mini pens, and it just happened.
Ok. So how easy is this little Valentine? A post-it pad. A mini gel pen. Some bakers twine. And this sweet and simple Valentine’s Day tag you can download.

Hello and Happy November everyone…Anne here! Can we even believe it’s November already? And with it comes my favorite holiday…Thanksgiving! So much has happened since last year’s turkey day, and although I love the food more than most things, I am really excited to spend the day with our family at home. We all have so much to be thankful for, and in that spirit of gratitude, this DIY was created! This thankful jar can be a sweet way to get the family in on sharing what they are thankful for too.

Love Note Printables for National Love Note Day (she: Anne)

Hello there and Happy September! It’s Anne from Circus Berry. We have entered one of my favorite months of the year…the one that kicks off fall, all things pumpkin-and apple-flavored, MY BIRTHDAY, and…National Love Note Day. That’s right! September 26th is National Love Note Day.

The timing of this special little day is perfect. In the midst of back-to-school, back-to-lessons, practices, and rehearsals, tight schedules, (and for this household, the chaos of a keeping up with a newborn plus two other lively, sassy kids) we may all forget to take a moment remind our loved ones how much we love them, or what we love about them. And aren’t those little gestures important too?
Today, I am sharing some perfect, open-ended love note printables for you to use with your loved ones. Use them all in one day, across days, on one family member, or with the whole family. Take a moment to share what you love. Put a smile on someone’s face with a little surprise note!

Back-to-School Book Page Wreath (she: Anne)

Hello again, it’s Anne from Circus Berry. I am here this fine Tuesday to bring you some new decor for your front door. With school starting up soon all over the country (sooner in some places than others…we don’t go back until after Labor Day here in WNY), I decided to deck out my front door with some back-to-school flair. I figured I would change it up a little bit before the real fall decor goes up! This book page wreath seemed like the perfect transitional piece from summer to fall in the meantime.

T-Shirt Beach Bag DIY… a No-Cost Summer Carryall (she: Anne)

Hey everyone. It’s Anne from Circus Berry here to share a quick DIY that is perfectly suited for your summer.

Can you believe it is July already? We are in the thick of summer which means there are all new things to cart around to summer camp, the beach, the pool, and the park. For my kids, a day at summer camp means they need a towel, bathing suit, sunscreen, hat, shoes, and sunglasses to go back and forth from school/camp to home, everyday. I was thinking of an easy way to get these necessities back and forth everyday–something easy to carry, easy to wash if needed, and cost free. With one visit to my stash of old tees, the solution was easy indeed.

Glitter Star Cake Topper (she: Anne)

Happy June! It’s Anne from Circus Berry posting today, sharing a fun and spark-tacular DIY glitter star cake topper with you all. It is just what you need for a little bit of glam on top of your dessert and is especially great for the Fourth of July holiday. I, on the other hand, used it to dress up a special, post-dance recital treat for my daughter this past weekend. Anytime there is a good excuse to celebrate in the Circus Berry household, we do it!
I used silver glitter card stock. Change the colors to something more patriotic and you are good to go this Independence Day.

DIY Geometric Wall Art Using Paper Scraps (she: Anne)

Hey everyone, and happy May. It’s Anne here, from Circus Berry, sharing a great DIY home decor idea with you. This geometric wall art is a little bit inspired by the Mid-Century Modern, a little bit by a pure need to use up some scraps of paper. (God forbid I actually just toss them…gasp!).
I have been a fan of the geometric fad for a little while now, using simple shapes to add flair to some home decor, create stationary, and even build an original party around. Also, I love the various types of specimen art out there and have been wanting to give it a go. So, put all of those together and you get a fairly simple, fairly inexpensive DIY project for adding some trendiness to your home decor.

Free, Customizable Spring Printable (she: Anne)

Free, Customizable Spring Printable (she: Anne)

It is hard to believe, especially with the snow still falling, blowing, drifting, and staying in WNY, that Spring is actually here. But it is and regardless of what is out my window, I am seeing bright and cheery days ahead. I just can’t wait to get out and start my spring planting, to see the roses start to bud, and to be able to get out of the house without layers on. Inspired by the coming Spring weather (it IS coming, right?), I decided to switch out some of my usual wall art up with something a little more fitting given my anticipation.
I made these fun prints using the Janda Flower Doodles Font. For a little bit of experimentation, I printed one on kraft card stock, one on plain white card stock, and one on vellum. Then I colored each with a different medium. I admit, sometimes I am not quite sure what I want until I try some things out.

Valentine’s Day Flag Centerpiece DIY (she: Anne)

Happy Tuesday friends! I can hardly believe it is already February, let alone almost Valentine’s Day! I usually am not a huge decorator for the day of love…maybe a little thing here or there, but this year I have felt a little more inspired to do something. I say it is for the kids, but it really brighten’s my work space to have some pretties around. Besides, I know how much my daughter loves things to be a little fancy…a little special. So, I thought a simple Valentine’s Day flag centerpiece would add some flair to our usual empty table, making it special for the holiday.

Toasted Coconut & Almond Matzoh Candy (she: Anne)

Happy 2014 everyone…hopefully it is off to a great start! After the holidays are done and the new year is upon us, I usually find that I have accumulated a pantry full of baking ingredients, haphazardly thrown onto the shelves in my haste to get everything done in those last crazy weeks of December. Then in January comes the resolution to be organized. But all of those ingredients! What is a girl to do but keep on baking? Today I am sharing a concoction that came together because I was trying to use up some of those pantry items so that I can get down to organizing. Please tell me I am not the only crazy person that does that…?

Toasted coconut and almond, chocolate covered, salted caramel matzoh candy. That’s a mouthful.
