I don’t know about you, but I am officially over winter! Spring fever is hard to catch with all this cold and snowy weather we’ve had (and I live in the south!) but I’ve started to dream of green grass, flowers, and bright and sunny days anyway.

Happy gratitude month everyone! It’s Brooke from Blissful Roots. It has been an eventful few weeks here at our house. We welcomed baby boy number four at the end of October, and brought him home to a houseful of the stomach flu. Luckily, it passed him by, but hit everyone else. We’re very grateful to have that long week behind us!
I’ll have more on our newest addition at the end of the post, but for now I have some fun ideas for your kids’ table decor for Thanksgiving. I’ve always been drawn to beautiful table scapes! I love how elegant you can make a Thanksgiving table, but the teacher in me also loves any excuse to decorate for the kids! The classic Thanksgiving table uses colors of orange, red, yellow and browns for centerpiece decorations. Take a new approach to your Thanksgiving table and pair modern colors with traditional table settings.

This is Darleen from Darling Darleen , and I really feel that your table setting should work for you, for your style and even for your room color scheme. I have a lot of blues and grays in my dining room, so I am naturally drawn to those colors. One way to bring your color scheme in is by creating wreath centerpieces with flowers, berries and leaves. You may have seen Thanksgiving wreath centerpiece idea on wedding tables, but why not do it for your Thanksgiving table?
These wreaths are simple to create and perfect to adorn with colors you prefer through botanical decorations. Tuck Spanish moss into a grapevine wreath. Add dried flowers, berries, leaves, twigs, thistles to your liking. Come on over and see what I did today!

Snow Globe Ornament and DIY Ornament Roundup

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at my house! When you’re a crafter (especially a craft blogger), you have to get a head start. Don’t worry, I haven’t put up the tree or anything… yet. Anyway, I’m so excited to show you this snow globe Christmas ornament that I made. Doesn’t it just make you want to light a fire, snuggle up, and listen to Christmas carols?

I made it using a clear plastic ball ornament that I found at Hobby Lobby. Unlike a regular ball ornament, this one splits in half so you can fit bigger things inside of it. So many possibilities! The little house ornament and the fake snow came from Michael’s.
