My Favorite Things ~ Gift Ideas for Women (she: Amy)

Hi, I’m Amy from Commona-my House! I’m a mom of 4 and love sharing home inspiration ideas on my blog. We’ve moved all over the world. And settled (for now) in the MidWest. I’ve loved something about each region (and countries) where we have lived and traveled to. I believe that things aren’t just ‘things’ if you surround yourself with objects that are meaningful to you….

So, with that in mind, I am so excited to share my favorite things with you, just in time for Mother’s Day! I’m pretty eclectic…and so is my list!

Classic Monogram Necklaces will never go out of style. There are so many out there on the market today, but I tend to gravitate to the simple ones…they’ll go with everything and I think simple always = elegant. The Vintage Pearl specializes in personalized jewelry in silver and gold. This classic gold initials necklace with their signature pearl drop would make any gal swoon.

My Favorite Things ~ Gift Ideas for Women (she: Katie)

Hello! My name is Katie, and I blog over at Clarks Condensed! If you’ve ever visited, you probably know that I love babies, food, and my husband. My husband, Forrest, and I met three-and-a-half years ago while attending the same college, and were married about a year later. And one year, three months later, our sweet little guy, Jack, was born. It’s been a crazy adventure becoming a mother, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Motherhood is the most tiring, yet rewarding, job I’ve ever had, but each day is filled with joy. I just graduated with a degree in print journalism, and looking forward to what the future holds.

While Forrest and Jack are definitely my favorite things, I don’t want any of you to come snatch them up. So here are some of my next favorite things, that are almost as good.

This is probably our most used wedding gift (unlike the fine china that still has yet to be opened…) I was so excited that someone bought us a Crock Pot that was much nicer than the one we registered for! This one has a digital timer, and it automatically turns to low when the designated time is reached. No more having to time everything perfectly! It’s big and durable, and I see it lasting us for a long time. It’s definitely worth the extra price to get one with that digital timer though.

My Favorite Things ~ Gift Ideas for Women (she: Liz)

Hey, ladies! I’m Liz. Here’s a picture of me with my two little boogerheads, Rowan (5) and Stellan (3). I searched through my Facebook pictures for like an hour trying to find a picture of just me, but in the few that I found I’m either eating something, making dinosaur faces, or wearing a costume. (Don’t ask me why.) I was hoping to find a good one because, while this series of posts will celebrate the all-important role of “Mother,” it should also celebrate our roles as individuals! It is our individuality that makes us the kind of people worth celebrating after all, isn’t it?

As for me, I’m a huge foodie; a serial hobbyist; a lover of nature, literature and music; and a seeker of knowledge. These are the things that have sculpted my character throughout my life, and they are the things that make me the perfect Mother for my boys. They have also influenced my selections for today’s list!
