This year, my daughter requested that the Valentine cards incorporate unicorns and bubblegum. Yikes! I started panicking because this is the first year she has been so specific. Never fear! Mom is not afraid of a challenge!
Christmas is such a great season to focus on sharing kindness and love towards others. So today, I thought it would be fun to share one of our favorite Christmas traditions: Kindness Christmas Stockings. What are Kindness Christmas Stockings, you ask?
It’s no secret in my family that Halloween is my very favorite holiday. In fact, if we’re being really honest…I’m completely obsessed with the entire month of October! I enjoy helping my kids plan what they are going to dress up as each year, visiting the pumpkin patch, baking yummy treats and making Halloween themed crafts. So, I thought it would be fun to share our Halloween bucket list as a printable for you today. Hopefully it gives you some ideas of things to do to keep busy this Fall.
Hello all, it’s Sierra joining you again! “Back to school” season is upon us! I have a preschooler this year, who I’ve decided to home school and I’ve been preparing some lesson plans and fun learning games for him to play. Today I’m sharing a cute cookie game you can play with your own preschooler! There are so many ways you can play the game and it’s a great way for your child to learn their letters and numbers in the process!
Can you believe summer is coming to an end soon? I’m just not ready! ? I’m sharing this super fun ocean JELLO dessert for you today so you can savor the last month of summer a little longer. Hi there! Sierra here and I’m back with a fun DIY for you today! I’m sharing how to make a candy doll! It’s a unique and fun gift idea and it was a huge hit with my nieces for their birthdays (Auntie for the win!). You can also adapt this for a boy’s gift, using a superhero doll and creating a cape instead of a skirt.
Birthday season is upon us! At least in my family it is. We have a birthday in April, June, July and August. We eat cake for months! If you are going to eat cake that frequently, you should probably have a killer frosting recipe to go with it. So today, I’m sharing the best birthday cake frosting recipe! It pairs perfectly with birthday cake and you can make it to the consistency of your liking. Double win!
Can you believe Mother’s Day is just around the corner? My kids just love making homemade crafts for Mother’s Day. Its always fun to see what they come up with! I’m the type of mom who will proudly wear a noodle necklace and cash in those homemade coupons, and this year I thought it would be fun to make a Mother’s Day necklace with my kids using painted wood beads. I loved how they turned out and they are so simple to make! Moms, grandmas, Aunts or sisters are sure to adore this fun accessory as a gift.
recently, something special happened at our house! My daughter lost her first tooth! Shortly after that, she lost her second! I feel like that first tooth is such a rite of passage and there are so many things to consider about the whole tooth fairy thing like: what is the going rate these days for teeth? (seriously, choose wisely on that or you’ll end up broke). And what do we put the tooth in? Does the tooth fairy leave a note? So many tooth fairy ideas to consider!
Today I’m sharing these sweet surprise treat carrots! They are super easy to make (as always, because I love super easy!), a fun way to hide Easter treats and a great project your kids can help you make.
Hi there! Sierra here from The Blue Robin Cottage! Brrrrrrrr! Winter just got real in Idaho! We’ve already had our first snow which can only mean one thing … hot chocolate time! Sometimes cozying up with a mug of hot chocolate is the perfect way to warm up.
We decided to kick off the winter weather season with a super fun hot chocolate bar! We used NEW International Delight Milk Chocolate Hot Chocolate. It was super rich and creamy and all I had to do was heat it up in the microwave! No hot chocolate powder clumps! Super easy and yummy!
Hi all! Sierra here from The Blue Cottage! Since this season is the perfect time of the year to focus on gratitude, I’m showing you how to make a cute little gift idea you can share with a neighbor, friend, teacher or even your mailman/lady to let them know how much you appreciate them in your life. My kids helped me put these sweet little hot chocolate snow globes together, so it’s a great activity to involve the whole family and it only takes 3 easy steps!
