Serving Others ~ December 2013 Inspiration

Happy Sunday. I wanted to share a lovely video with you. A story of people giving up their time to serve others. And, not just ANY time… they gave up their Christmas. Serving others really is one of the greatest things ever. Not only does it help someone else, but it help you. It’s like magic. It helps you be happier, to love more, love deeper, and it is a perfect gift for Christ.

Silhouette Holiday Sale ~ Huge Discounts with OSSS Code!

Silhouette Holiday Sale ~ Huge Discounts with OSSS Code!

If you’re a crafter (and even if you’re not) I’m sure you’ve heard of Silhouette cutting machines … they’re amazing!! I was lucky enough to have the chance to try out a Silhouette Cameo .. and let me just say ‘WOW!’ My mind was blown by all the capabilities of this little machine. It plugs into your PC or Mac® just like a home printer, but instead of printing it uses a small blade to cut paper, cardstock, vinyl, fabric and more up to 12″ wide and 10 feet long. And to top it off, it can even register and cut printed materials. The possibilities are literally limitless.

My mind was a little blown, and I wasn’t exactly sure where to start. So, I went to Pinterest and started exploring. Silhouette has a Pinterest page, but that’s only the beginning. There are so many cute projects out there that I’m excited to try.

OSSS has a killer discount for you. Click FULL ARTICLE to check it out!

Free Thanksgiving Table Activity Printables (she: Sharon)

Hi! I’m Sharon, and I’m a newbie here on Or So She Says. I run my own little blog, Lemon Squeezy, where I showcase some of my photography and designs, with occasional free printable downloads. In fact, here are a couple now! I designed this first printable to be used at the Thanksgiving Grown-up’s Table. The other is for the kid’s table. Set it next to the plate with some crayons and keep the kids entertained! I had my three-year-old color one tonight and he was very proud of himself as he practiced coloring within the shapes

Family Night: Kids Interviewing Grandparents ~ Family History

Did you know that the more your kids know about their family history… …they will have “higher levels of emotional well-being, and also higher levels of identity achievement.”  They are also more resilient through tough times, according to a fanscinating study done by Emory University.  Pretty cool, huh?  Probably something worth taking the time to…

Disney Cruise Review ~ Our 2013 Family Vaction! Part 2

So, yesterday was the Disney Cruise review of our experience on the ship. Today, I thought it would be fun to share with you our experiences off the ship, at the different ports we went to.

As much fun as it was on the boat, it was always fun to get off the ship too. Play on the beaches, tour the towns, shop for our baby back home, try the local foods, and get our feet on stable ground. When you get off the ships, Disney makes it super easy to know the different places you can go to, as well as when and how to get back to the ship, before it departs. You typically arrive at a port first thing in the morning (or in the middle of the night.) Then we were usually allowed to leave the ship until 4:00 or 5:00 p.m.

Disney Cruise Review ~ Our 2013 Family Vacation! Part 1 of 2

I’m back!! Did you even know I was gone?? Dan and I just took all the kids, minus the babe, on our first Disney Cruise. It was a dream come true… seriously! Going on a Disney Cruise has always been at the top of my list, so it was amazing to finally go.

Before we left on our cruise, I scoured the internet, looking for everything I could find about Disney cruises. I really wanted to know what they were like. What could I expect?? So, with that in mind, I took oodles of pictures for you and lots of notes so I can share a great Disney Cruise review, give you some tips, and an idea of what the cruise is all about.

Here we go!
