No need to wait until the last minute to get some Valentines printed up this year! I have a really easy and free printable all ready for you today; it only needs a couple of cuts with a pair of scissors and some Valentine themed pencils or pens from the dollar store. This is much less time consuming than some of the crazy stuff you’ll find on Pinterest that makes you feel craft-challenged. So come on over and see what I’ve designed for ‘Or so she says…’
It makes sense that chocolate peanut clusters would be easy to make, but I think I never realized just HOW easy they are to make! I’m talking, it takes 3 minutes to prepare, 3 minutes to drop in clumps on wax paper, and 5 seconds to stick in the fridge. So, if you have 6 minutes and 5 seconds to spare, you could easily make peanut clusters.

These simple Corn Bread Muffins are one of my favorites and they are so quick and easy to throw together, they almost always make an appearance with any soup we have. They have just the right amount of sweetness in them and they’re not dry and crumbly like a lot of corn bread can be. They can be eaten plain, with butter or honey, jam or my favorite…maple butter. They make the perfect addition to your favorite soup. And if you’re planning on having soup or chili for the Super Bowl (Go BRONCOS!!! Yes, I’m a Coloradan and a Manning fan!!!) these would make the game (and soup!) even better. So check them out and add them to your party line up (or maybe just your next dinner).
I love getting mail. I won’t even deny that I’m completely addicted to Zulily, Amazon, and Stitchfix. Now I have a new love to add to the list. A new love that will send me a package every month. A package that only costs $10 bucks and is totally fun. It’s called Birchbox. Ever heard of it? I can’t say that I wear very much makeup, but I definitely like to try all the latest and greatest items on the market. I don’t want my children to ever grow up feeling that Valentine’s Day is only awesome if you have a “lover.” I want them to always look forward to it. Which is why we call it “Family Love Day” in our family. It’s a day for showing each other love. It’s a day for having fun as a family. This can be done in a variety of ways: A fun breakfast in bed (or just a fun breakfast in general), a fun lunch with cute notes, or a night out on the town. My husband and I like to take the kids and go to dinner. If Valentine’s Day falls on a weekday we will take the kids to dinner and then celebrate as a couple on the weekend.
I don’t know about where you live….but where I live, it’s COLD! Not as cold as it has been, that’s for sure, but cold enough that you don’t really want to be outside. EVER! And cold enough that when you are outside for any extended period of time, all you want to do is come back inside, put on some sweatpants, and eat a big bowl of soup! This White Bean Pesto Soup is the perfect thing to cozy up to on a cold winter day. It combines some of my favorite things….and best of all, it’s topped with a big spoonful of pesto to give it an amazingly rich and delicious flavor! So even if you did happen to find yourself outside in the cold, you wouldn’t mind. Because at least you’d know you have THIS to look forward to!
Okay, so talk about therapy. I’ve gone a little printable crazy the past couple weeks and have oodles of them to share with you! I never knew it would be so relaxing to sit down and create them. Dan will turn on his Cheers re-runs, and I’ll plop next to him with my laptop and take a much needed breather from the long day. I love it! Lots of them coming your way!
My kids and I love doing Mad Libs for school. It’s a fun way to brush them up on their verbs, nouns, adverbs, etc. I though it would be fun to create a Mad Libs for my husband and I to do. I printed it off and we’re doing it tonight! Knowing him, I have no doubt I’ll be cracking up.
