Take a moment to use your powerful words to remind your family how much you love them. Point out their strengths and thank them for participating. Bear your testimony about how clean, positive, and uplifting language can invite the Holy Ghost into your life and make a positive impact for good!
This summer my kids and I will be world travelers! With the help of the internet, the local library, and the smattering of cultural restaurants in our area, we are going to learn about a new country each week. I am so excited to expose my kids to the colors, sights, sounds and tastes of other nations.
Why didn’t other moms feel warm and fuzzy about their kids like I felt about mine? I smiled to myself as I thought, “Oh, that is so sad. I’m so glad that I have this whole mom thing together, and love my little girl so much.” Most of all, I thought that I must be doing something right and they must be doing something wrong. I totally judged! Read the post to find out how my perspective changed.
Announcing that a baby is on the way and revealing the baby’s sex can be such exciting moments in a parent’s life! Plus, there are so many fun and creative ways to share that happy news with your family! I scoured the internet and found some really cute gender reveal ideas that I hope will help make your exciting moment extra special!
My name is Hanna, I’m a birth mom, and this is my story. I hope that by sharing my story, others will see that adoption can be a wonderful thing! It’s beautiful and amazing and it truly is about a mother’s ultimate love for her child.
I’ve been thinking about Mother’s Day lately. I don’t know about you, but I always struggle with ideas to do for my mom. If you look on Pinterest, there are so many fun ideas that you can do with your little kids for Mother’s Day. But, to be honest, those aren’t the ideas I’m needing help with. I need help with ideas for MY OWN mom. If you were to ask her what she would like, she will never tell you anything. But, this year I’ve come up with a fun Mother’s Day gift idea and I’m so excited to share it with you!
What is the home of your dreams? Maybe your mind immediately wanders through your Pinterest boards of beautiful, spacious homes, white cabinets and striking marble counter tops. Perhaps eye catching decor, fun nooks, entertainment areas and play areas with perfectly organized toys and books and on and on.
As a mama of three crazy busy little men (6, 4, 1), I totally know the joys of encouraging littles to pick up their toys. I’m really just trying to figure it out as much as the next mom. Here is what been working for me so far, hope it can inspire hope and ideas in your own clean up adventures with little peeps.
So, let’s just put this out there… I’m currently pregnant with my 7th child and it was a total surprise. I had actually given away all of my maternity clothes that I had collected on my 6-baby-way. I really, really thought I was done! But, God had something else in mind for me. This little girl coming my way is meant to be and we can’t wait to meet her. There are actually 7 kids in my family and 7 in my husband’s family, so it’s kind of fun to carry on the tradition. We love big families!
Anyway, back to my point. Maternity clothes. I’ve bought sooooo many over the past 15 years and now I’m buying them all over again.
Many parents don’t enjoy their older kids as much as they could. Why? Because older kids can be SO HARD! But I also think it’s because they just can’t figure out how to connect with them. When you find those things that you can do, I promise you will thoroughly enjoy those older kids of yours! Well…maybe not all the time. 🙂
I thought I’d share some simple tips with you. Please be mindful that some may apply to your kids, and others might not. Each child is different, and each parent is different. But, don’t give up. They want to be connected with you. They want to feel loved by you and WANT you to understand them.
One of the hurdles we can face when trying to do things, accomplish things (ANY “things”) is being in the mood. If all it takes to turn a lousy day into a great one is a little dinner party and a phone call, why would you ever choose to have a lousy day? Even better, why would you let someone else have a lousy one?
The people who need you need you to fix their mood, even when you don’t feel like it. And we need you to learn to fix your own mood so you can be the one who fixes the rest of us.
My fourth baby just turned two months old, which means he’s babbling and smiling all over himself … especially when he manages to get his poop out! The faces that he makes when he’s working on a poop are hilarious.
THOSE faces used to stress me out with my first baby, but with my fourth I realize it’s just what babies do. And pooping is serious business for them! It’s one of a baby’s three main purposes in life, aside from eating and sleeping.
