My husband and I try really hard to regularly spend one-on-one time with each of our four children. However, life gets crazy busy sometimes, so we’ve found it’s important to schedule monthly date nights with our kids. With the upcoming release of the new Star Wars movie, this month’s date night is a no-brainer!
I like Star Wars, but my husband REALLY likes Star Wars! He can’t bear the thought of his oldest son not being an avid Star Wars fan too.
This is the only year that the Diamond Celebration and the holidays will happen simultaneously. Since it’s a special year, I thought it would be fun to take a popular holiday tradition and put a Disney spin on it. I’m talking about doing your Elf on the Shelf Disney style. It would be a great way to countdown to your holiday Disneyland vacation, or even announce the gift of a future Disneyland vacation to your family!
One of the easiest ways for me to focus on my kids during the holidays is to get them in the kitchen with me, making yummy treats for our friends and neighbors. It’s also more fun for the kids to deliver our goodies if they were involved in the making of the treats.

There is typically a lesson, activitiy or game and ALWAYS a treat. It’s the best way I know to reconnect as a family and to teach my kids valuable lessons in a fun and creative way.
