Elise has some ideas to help you celebrate Mother’s Day all week long; because breakfast in bed sometimes just isn’t enough! Photo cred: Hamblin Photography You can find Elise posting regularly at The Joyful Mother Project. Mother’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. So today I’m sharing ways to celebrate Mother’s Day leading up…
Although I’m now the mother of 9, what many people don’t know is that I struggled with infertility for many years. I physically had my first child when I was 38 years old. Needless to say, I experienced many hard and painful Mother’s Days.
Can you believe Mother’s Day is just around the corner? My kids just love making homemade crafts for Mother’s Day. Its always fun to see what they come up with! I’m the type of mom who will proudly wear a noodle necklace and cash in those homemade coupons, and this year I thought it would be fun to make a Mother’s Day necklace with my kids using painted wood beads. I loved how they turned out and they are so simple to make! Moms, grandmas, Aunts or sisters are sure to adore this fun accessory as a gift.

The moms (and one Mr. Mom) in The Mother’s Day movie come from different walks of life and they, too, have to reconcile their personal approach to parenting with that of others. They have to contend with blended families, feelings of inadequacy and rely support of others when life doesn’t go as planned. I can’t wait to see it in theaters for a girls’ night!
I’ve been thinking about Mother’s Day lately. I don’t know about you, but I always struggle with ideas to do for my mom. If you look on Pinterest, there are so many fun ideas that you can do with your little kids for Mother’s Day. But, to be honest, those aren’t the ideas I’m needing help with. I need help with ideas for MY OWN mom. If you were to ask her what she would like, she will never tell you anything. But, this year I’ve come up with a fun Mother’s Day gift idea and I’m so excited to share it with you!
So, let’s just put this out there… I’m currently pregnant with my 7th child and it was a total surprise. I had actually given away all of my maternity clothes that I had collected on my 6-baby-way. I really, really thought I was done! But, God had something else in mind for me. This little girl coming my way is meant to be and we can’t wait to meet her. There are actually 7 kids in my family and 7 in my husband’s family, so it’s kind of fun to carry on the tradition. We love big families!
Anyway, back to my point. Maternity clothes. I’ve bought sooooo many over the past 15 years and now I’m buying them all over again.
Happy Mother’s Day to all you women out there! For today’s Sunday Sunshine, I wanted to share with you a couple things… First, a favorite and very special moment from my week. If you follow me on Instagram, you got to see this already. If not, here’s the scoop (as shared on Instagram): Yesterday was one…

Hello friends! It’s Jana from Double the Deliciousness with a perfect dessert for your Mother’s Day weekend! I figured I’d share a great recipe that you Dads, sons and daughters (or whoever!) can easily throw together for the Mom in your life! Chocolate is what speaks to my heart, so I figured we couldn’t go wrong with some brownies. What Mom wouldn’t love a beautiful, chocolaty brownie for dessert? And help her feel your love with a cute powdered sugar heart on her piece!
I’m married to a brownie connoisseur. Thus, I have tried more brownie recipes than I can count in search for the perfect brownie that meets his expectations. (I personally haven’t met a brownie I didn’t like!) Keep reading to see which recipe the official brownie connoisseur chose!
There is no way to put into words how unique and amazing my mom is, and I’m sure almost everyone feels the same about their own mom! I’m continually discovering aspects of my personality that I can trace back to my mom – which I love. As I ponder some of the things that make me happy (reading and chocolate, to name a few), I’ve come to realize that I love them BECAUSE my mom loved them.
Whenever I think back on my childhood, I picture my mom reading. Whenever she had down time (which wasn’t often with seven kids), she was reading. On long drives, she would read. When we went on vacations, she would read. When she locked herself in the bathroom, she would read – haha. And now I do the same thing!
Happy April everyone!! It’s Veronica with you again today, and I’m so happy to be back sharing a fun Mother’s Day gift idea with you. Hopefully everyone is recovering from their Easter feasts. 🙂 With Easter over, it’s on to Mother’s Day! I wanted to do a post on Mother’s Day, but wanted to do something a bit different. (If you don’t have children of your own…KEEP READING! There’s something in this for you as well). 🙂 For me, Mother’s Day always brings a whole mixture of feelings and emotions. But, the thing I love most about Mother’s Day is the reminder that I get to be a mom to some of the greatest kids EVER!
This year, I wanted to do something to celebrate THEM on Mother’s Day. Because, let’s face it…without them, I wouldn’t be a mom! This Mother’s Day gift idea is a little different, but I think you’ll like it.
