No Bake Cookie Smoothie (she: Becky)

School is starting up soon for my kids, so we are trying to squeeze in as much fun as possible! We’ve hiked a lot of trails as a family, but I’ve also taken my 4 kids out by myself, and sometimes we hike with friends. They love it every time! One of the ways we like to fuel up before a hike is with a smoothie. Since my kids love No-Bake Cookies so much, we came up with a no bake cookie smoothie!

Chocolate Hazelnut Pretzel Milkshake (she: Sierra)

I don’t know about your kids, but mine absolutely love milk! They ask for it all the time throughout the day and I don’t mind one bit. So for our treat this week, of course, we had to incorporate milk into it some how. Bingo! Milkshakes!

We took all of our favorite ingredients and created this chocolatey hazelnut pretzel milkshake with a little hint of peanut butter, that I know your kids will love and will leave everyone savoring summer for a little while longer.

These jello popcorn balls are super fun to make with the kids and they taste yummy too! www.orsoshesays.com #jello #popcorn #popcornballs #recipe #treats

My kids love crafting and activities, but they also love to help in the kitchen. Especially my daughter. These jello popcorn balls are a fun recipe that the kids will love to help make.

Cooking with Kids: Pizza Mac ‘n’ Cheese (she: Nicky)

Given the opportunity to get messy, dip fingers in and lick the spoon, I think most kids love cooking. Cooking with kids is so important because it not only teaches them important skills, but being involved often gets them more excited to eat meals.

My kids – Gracey aged 8 and Lewis aged 5 – have been making kitchen creations since they were toddlers.

I told Gracey I needed her to help in creating a lovely dinner for ‘Or So She Says’ and she jumped off the sofa and immediately started rummaging through her growing collection of cook books. Click on through to see what she decided to make for you today:

Fried Mozzarella Sticks ~ Cooking with Kids!

So, this fun little cooking school, Spoon and Spatula, opened up near my house and my girls just finished their first ‘camp’ there… pizza camp! Each day of the week, the classes revolved around pizza. The first day was bubble pizza, then fruit pizza, calazones, pizza wontons, and fried mozzarella sticks.

The girls have been anxious to make some of their newly-learned recipes for the family. So, this past Sunday, I did my own little cooking class with the kids. They taught me how to make their Fried Mozzarella Sticks from the Spoon and Spatula class, and I taught them how to make homemade marinara for spaghetti, Jana’s Awesome Breadsticks, and Cherries and Cream Dessert Squares. Mmmm! It was a ‘free day’ (from the diet) to remember.

Hi! It’s Jamie visiting from Prepared Housewives, here to share with you one of the most addictive snacks EVER!

Before you even begin making this, you need to think of a few friends you want to fatten up and plan to bring them some, because if you don’t, you might suddenly find yourself locked in your closet with the entire bowl (it’s happened before).
