Spinach artichoke dip is one of my very favorites. I order it from every restaurant that has it on the menu. And I’m not too picky about the vehicle I use to transfer it from bowl to mouth. Although chips or pita slices are often the preferred choice, I have been known to reach right for a spoon. As embarrassing as it is to admit, I’ve even scraped the bowl clean with my finger. Ask my husband. He’ll tell you.
To try something a little different, I decided to prepare a sweet dip for our dessert while my mom was in town to visit. Something silky and light that would go great with a reduced fat cookie. Here’s what I came up with:

Although my family aren’t too fussy when it comes to dinner time (ok, we’re all human dust-bins really), I do struggle with meat-free dishes.
If I serve up a completely vegetarian dish, I usually find everyone looking up expectantly, waiting for me to put the ‘main dish’ on the table.
I’ve had a couple of great successes (my Cheesy Veggie burgers were a real hit – no bacon required yay!), but for the most part, trying to get one or two meat-free dishes in per week simply isn’t going to happen.
Now fish – I know I can get away with. So meals like this Creamy Tomato Fettuccine with Salmon are my savior in trying to reduce the meat consumption just a little.
Hello! Susan from Love of Home here, I’m so happy to be bringing some Spring inspiration today. I have a simple DIY Spring wreath to share with you. This is an inexpensive way to freshen things up. I always try to make our home warm and welcoming. I think a wreath on the door or in the entry does that perfectly. This one was created for our mudroom. Do you need inspiration for your wreath? St. Patrick’s Day is this coming Tuesday. Tuesday is a school day for us, and most of you I’m sure. So, last week on the ‘Or so she says…’ Facebook page, I mentioned that I had only been to Trader Joe’s grocery store one time. The time I went, I felt so overwhelmed by all the unique products, that I just wished someone would tell me everything that I must try. It’s a good 45 minutes from my house, so it’s not like I can go very often, so I want to get the good stuff while I have the chance!
Lucky for me, the Facebook page was swarming with ladies who are Trader Joe’s junkies. They shared hundreds of their most favorite products with me! Soon enough, they started asking for an official list of all the products that were shared, so they could remember to buy the things they hadn’t tried yet, but were suggested. I promised I would get that together.
I don’t know about you, but I am officially over winter! Spring fever is hard to catch with all this cold and snowy weather we’ve had (and I live in the south!) but I’ve started to dream of green grass, flowers, and bright and sunny days anyway.

I love Disneyland so much that I went again about month ago with my husband and 20 month old son… at eight months pregnant. I was a little nervous about how I would hold up but, honestly, it ended up being one of my favorite trips.
