Gift Ideas for One Year Olds ~ Or so she says...

Gift Ideas for One Year Old, Boy or Girl (she: Mariah)

So… I’m probably going to start crying while writing this post. My baby boy is turning one at the end of the month! How did this happen?!? I swear it was just yesterday that the nurses placed him in my arms and I fell in love. Now he’s wobbling around the house, unraveling toilet paper rolls, putting rocks in his mouth, and dumping out my baskets of folded laundry! Yet, even with the steady increase in mischief-making, I’m still SO crazy about that kid. With his first birthday coming up I thought it’d be helpful to consult the ‘Or so she says’ Facebook followers for gift ideas!

Kiwi Mint Lemonade - a fun twist on a classic drink

Kiwi Mint Lemonade (she: Liz)

Hey there friends! It’s Liz from Liz on Call. I’m excited to be back this month to share with you a yummy drink recipe! I know that in most parts of the country it’s just barely spring. But here in AZ we are already “enjoying” 90 degree weather. The summer has rushed in, like usual, which means I am thinking in terms of summer entertaining already. Since she’s the only girl, she gets the full brunt of my love for all things hair.

Repentance is a Divine Gift ~ Sunday Sunshine #9

I was just recently asked to write a blog post for Mormon.org. I was really excited, as I love that site! But, what to write… what to write… I was allowed to pick my own topic, which was fun, but I wanted to get it right. I know that people go to Mormon.org for education and inspiration and I didn’t want to let them down. So, I prayed. I prayed and thought a lot about what I would want to say to the world, what God would want me to share with the world that would touch the hearts of at least a few. And, then I knew…

The Best Journey Takes You Home {Printable} (she: Brooke)

I don’t know about you, but I’m a bit of a home body. Going home after a vacation, going home for the holidays, going home after a long day at school or work. I have yet to find anything that replaces that special, familiar, comforting feeling of returning home. I want my boys to have that same feeling. I cannot wait to see what life has in store for each of them. I know they’ll go out into the world, have many experiences and adventures. But as a mother, I want nothing more than to create an atmosphere in my home that invites them to return again and again.
