Leprechaun Hat Place Card Holder (she: Darleen)

I am one of those people who loves to celebrate each holiday to its full capacity! While I don’t go too crazy decorating for St. Patrick’s Day, I do like to wear green and make the traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner on the Irish holiday. I thought it would be fun this year to set the dinner table for our St. Patrick’s Day feast with these simple darling leprechaun hat place card holders. Add some green potted plants for centerpieces and place the leprechaun hats on the plate and you will be good to go.

Celebrating children on a “HOORAY” kind of day (she: Veronica)

Hello friends! I hope everyone had a happy Valentine’s Day! In my home, when Valentine’s Day hits, I know that chaos is about to follow. Four out of eleven of our birthdays are in March, so it’s time to get ready. Celebrating children includes one of my favorite birthday traditions, which is linked to one of my favorite items. My sister Mallorie instructed me that I was to hang my banner, and pull out my plate for all those “HOORAY” moments that take place in our lives. Given the number of kids in our home, we have those moments all the time. Birthdays are my favorite. It always goes up and most of the time it stays up for the next day or so, just because I love the reminder of what the word “HOORAY” stands for.

Goldilocks Valentine… A Fun Valentine Story For Kids (she: Brooke)

Your first year of teaching is a lot like having kids. You think you know what it’s like, but really you have no idea until you’re knee-deep in it every day. I was lucky enough to have Mrs. Lewis (my cooperating teacher) take my hand and guide me through every step of teaching my first year. She was so current, organized, loving, and amazingly creative! The Goldilocks Valentines and story I have to share today came from her. I’ve searched the internet for this story, and can’t find it anywhere. I don’t know if she made it up, (I’ve misplaced my original copy) or found it somewhere. Either way, this is one of my all-time favorite things to do for Valentine’s Day! My boys love to hear it year after year, and it would be the perfect activity for any valentine parties you have next week, or just to do at home with your kids.

February Family Night…Sending the LOVE! (she: Tonii)

I am so excited to be back and sharing a great family night activity for one of my MOST favorite holidays…Valentine’s Day! Now I don’t know about you, but in our house Valentine’s Day has become a family affair 🙂 Don’t get me wrong, I love a romantic date with my hubby, but I am also not about to pass up a chance to spend the month of February teaching my kids how they can better show love in our family and to those around us!

Every year for Valentine’s I put out some cute little mailboxes I got from Target in the Dollar Spot. Once a day starting February 1st I put a little something in each of the kids’ mailboxes, anything from a note telling them something I love about them or a pencil and notepad. It has become one of our favorite traditions, and as I got them out this year I thought maybe we could use them to not only focus on receiving love…but SENDING some love out as well!

Valentine Spin Wheel Game (she: Darleen)

Hello, hello! My name is Darleen, and I am one of the new contributors here. I stay busy over at Darling Darleen and with my shop Darleen Meier Jewelry. I’m one of those people who likes to go all out for each holiday and birthday. I tell myself I’m doing it for my children, but I’m realizing it might really be for me! So, I’m excited to share with you a Valentine craft, or more specifically, a Valentine Spin Wheel game that your child can hand out in the classroom or as a favor for a V-day party. It’s an adorable Valentine, and it’s interactive! I’ve been wanting to create a spin wheel game for a while. And Valentine’s Day couldn’t be better for it! It brings back childhood memories from spin wheels I used to cut out off the back of cereal boxes. We tested this game out with a little neighborhood valentine party, and all the kids had a good laugh.

Valentine Chocolate Sugar Cookies

Valentine Chocolate Sugar Cookies (she: Gina)

Hi everyone! It’s Gina from Kleinworth & Co. again.

I’m back to share with you an fun little Valentine’s Day treat today. I absolutely love these cookies. Their fun Valentine colors…..the fact that they are chocolate. Love Love Love. I originally started with the mindset that these cookies would be frosted. But then as I realized that I had just purchased SO MANY bags of M&M’s with the intention of using them in baking. I am running out of time to make goodies for Valentine’s Day. Before long all these red & pink candies won’t be able to be used in my baking & there they will sit. So I scrapped the frosting idea, cut out a lot of time in the kitchen & added them to these fun Chocolate Sugar Cookies to make some really cute treats.

Valentine’s Day Flag Centerpiece DIY (she: Anne)

Happy Tuesday friends! I can hardly believe it is already February, let alone almost Valentine’s Day! I usually am not a huge decorator for the day of love…maybe a little thing here or there, but this year I have felt a little more inspired to do something. I say it is for the kids, but it really brighten’s my work space to have some pretties around. Besides, I know how much my daughter loves things to be a little fancy…a little special. So, I thought a simple Valentine’s Day flag centerpiece would add some flair to our usual empty table, making it special for the holiday.
