I’ve been thinking about Mother’s Day lately. I don’t know about you, but I always struggle with ideas to do for my mom. If you look on Pinterest, there are so many fun ideas that you can do with your little kids for Mother’s Day. But, to be honest, those aren’t the ideas I’m needing help with. I need help with ideas for MY OWN mom. If you were to ask her what she would like, she will never tell you anything. But, this year I’ve come up with a fun Mother’s Day gift idea and I’m so excited to share it with you!
During this sacred Easter week, I’d like to add more holiness by thinking more deeply about Christ’s life and crucifixion. I’ve gathered eight scriptures from the New Testament related to Christ’s life, death, and resurrection. They are eight simple teachings or characteristics of Christ that are worthy of deeper meditation.
Hey everyone! It’s Kari from Paper Wings again, with a fun easy craft for Easter! These fabric mache Easter baskets make great gifts and decor as well as being great Easter treat baskets for the kids. It can be a bit messy with the Mod Podge, so you can do this outside on the sidewalk/driveway, or on a protected surface inside. But what a great excuse to be outside in this spring weather, right?!
So, let’s just put this out there… I’m currently pregnant with my 7th child and it was a total surprise. Â I had actually given away all of my maternity clothes that I had collected on my 6-baby-way. Â I really, really thought I was done! Â But, God had something else in mind for me. Â This little girl coming my way is meant to be and we can’t wait to meet her. There are actually 7 kids in my family and 7 in my husband’s family, so it’s kind of fun to carry on the tradition. Â We love big families!
Anyway, back to my point. Â Maternity clothes. Â I’ve bought sooooo many over the past 15 years and now I’m buying them all over again.
This word search is one of those small activities I like to do with my kids to get them excited for an upcoming holiday. My son has asked me at least once a week if it’s time for him to wear his green yet. He is very worried about all the pinching. This St. Patrick’s Day word search will be a fun activity to do with the kids to not only help them get excited about St. Patrick’s Day, but learn a little something about it as well.
Today I’m sharing these sweet surprise treat carrots! They are super easy to make (as always, because I love super easy!), a fun way to hide Easter treats and a great project your kids can help you make.

I am the Forrest Gump of Valentine’s Day. Well actually, the only thing Forrest and I share in that regard is that we are both not very smart men, but we know what love is… and I guess that you could say that past Valentine’s Days for my wife were like Forrest’s proverbial box of chocolates. She just never knew what she was gonna get…if anything. On Valentine’s Days of yesteryear I think I occasionally handed my wife an empty box of chocolates, figuratively speaking, on the international day of love.
Hi everyone! I’m Jessie, a new contributor here on OSSS. My amazing hubby and I have two little girls, ages three and one, who love creating, learning, and trying new things. Well the leaves have all fallen, leaving the trees bare and winter-cold, why not snap off a few small branches and create this easy, kid friendly Valentine craft?
I always love when my kiddos can help me create holiday decor pieces, it just adds so much!
My daughter always wants to help me in the kitchen. Many times I am in a rush and don’t take the time for a little helper. As parents we can get so wrapped up in our busy schedule and the responsibilities of life and parenthood, that we may forget the importance of time with our kids. So we headed into the kitchen to make these chocolate covered strawberry crispy rice treats.
