My post today on toy storage for the living room or elsewhere, is a tad bit on the selfish side; I’m excited to have a chance to design a fresh toy room for my new home build!
I have to say we enjoy our time in the library as much as we enjoy the books we check out to read at home. Next time you’re in need of a time-filler, or even a Friday night activity hit up your local library. Find a cozy corner with a stack of books and just read! Then get another stack to check out and take home with you. So many books, so little time!! Happy reading!
If you are planning a trip to Disneyland, you’re definitely going to want to get your hands on this book of Disneyland tips!
And, guess what…
Get Away Today already saves you as much as possible on your Disneyland vacation, but we have a little EXTRA something’-somethin’ for you in the back of the Disneyland tips ebook, worth even MORE than the book itself. Because their prices are already so low, they don’t offer any extra money off very often, so this is AWESOME, you guys. If you’re looking to save a few more bucks, this will definitely help!!!
I’ve been looking for fun ways to bring a little more meaning into my family’s Christmas this year. It’s so easy to get caught up in all the presents and shopping, and to forget what we’re really celebrating this time of year!
I plan on looking into those more next year when my little man is a little older and can understand more, but for now Christ-centered Christmas books are going to be my main focus. He loves being read to! Plus, it’s never too early to start teaching your kids about Christ, the nativity story, serving others, and the spirit of Christmas.
Today I just wanted to share some of the books I’ve read (and loved) recently and a few quotes I picked out while reading them. It’s a random assortment of reading material, but that’s kinda how I roll. Randomly.
I think sometimes we over-complicate what life is all about. If we were to boil life down to one main purpose, it would be to learn to love one another. To learn to love like God loves. Without reservation, without conditions, without judgement. To learn to love. To really love. And to treat each other accordingly. That’s it. But how do we accomplish this? Read on to see some suggestions.
Last month I shared some of my favorite reasons of why I love my local library so much. This month to go along with my favorite past time of reading, I wanted to share with you 5 novels for spring, which are some of my favorite books that I have personally read and loved over the years.
These are the novels that have stayed with me long after I turned the final page. The stories that made me disappointed to learn there was no sequel or continuation. That’s what makes a good story though, the development of characters and the words so well written, you feel like you are actually there taking part in the story yourself.
Who doesn’t love curling up with a good book?! I used to read a lot before I got married and popped out a baby… It’s crazy how caught up you can get in your “To Do” lists and appointments and kids’ soccer practices and never really take any time for yourself. I think finding time to sit down, relax, and read a great book every once in a while could keep us all from becoming stressed-out-groucho-moms and wives!
So to assist you in your efforts to find stress-relief we thought we’d ask some actual book club members (from the ‘Or so she says…’ Facebook page) what their favorite book choices have been and share them with all of you
One of my absolute favorite places is the library. There is something so welcoming about being in a building with so many wonderful books and resources. I love getting lost among the never ending bookshelves searching for a forgotten treasure, or passing by other book lovers in search of just the right book.
February is a month that honors the beloved library and all those who use it on a regular basis. This month as we celebrated love, we also celebrate Library Lovers Month. Have you visited your local library lately? Chances are you may not know what you’re missing.
I’ve been excited about this book coming out for a long time! My sweet friend, Becky from Babes in Hairland, is mega-talented and can style hair like nobody’s business. Her blog is packed with the coolest, most beautiful, and sometimes even CRAZY hairstyles. I’ve always been in awe of her ABC Kindergarten hairstyles, Halloween spider braid, princess styles, and all the other fun ones that my girls would go nuts over.
SO… naturally when I heard she was coming out with a book, Amazing Hairstyles, I was super excited! Come read all about it and check out some of my FAVORITE HAIR PRODUCTS!!
Oh hey there! Happy Tuesday! It’s Mel from So Festive!, a blog sharing simple ways to celebrate. Halloween is just around the corner and it’s not too early to start thinking about some simple ways you can celebrate with your family.
I don’t know about you, but we love reading Halloween stories and watching family friendly Halloween movies to get in the Halloween spirit. Today I have a list of books and movies your family may love as much as mine at this time of year.
Today’s post is all about something that up until last January, was super hard for me… consistent scripture reading. Whether you read The Bible or The Bible AND The Book of Mormon, or whatever else enriches your life, this can work for you.
Okay, so as a member of the Mormon church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints), we are asked to actively STUDY the scriptures. And despite the fact that when I do, I learn a ton, I evaluate myself for short-comings, I find answers to prayers, and I feel inspired to be a better person… it’s still hard to make it a habit to read the scriptures every day. It’s been hard my whole life. I get too busy, too tired, too lazy, whatever. But, now I got it down, sista. I haven’t missed a day since January 1st and it’s all because of a simple little trick. The best thing ever.
