17 Must-Have Kitchen Products for Everyday Chefs (she: Mariah)

Before I got married, I didn’t have much in the way of kitchen supplies. I think I had a couple bowls and a spoon to my name. And then, of course, I got a bunch of Tupperware and cookie sheets and rice cookers for my bridal showers and wedding. Yet, even after all that, I still feel like there are some products out there that I still need and that would love to have. That’s why I consulted the trusty ‘Or so she says…’ Facebook fans! Here are some great kitchen products that come highly recommended from the best ladies in the world!

Everything You Must Try At Trader Joe’s

Everything You Must Try At Trader Joe’s

So, last week on the ‘Or so she says…’ Facebook page, I mentioned that I had only been to Trader Joe’s grocery store one time. The time I went, I felt so overwhelmed by all the unique products, that I just wished someone would tell me everything that I must try. It’s a good 45 minutes from my house, so it’s not like I can go very often, so I want to get the good stuff while I have the chance!

Lucky for me, the Facebook page was swarming with ladies who are Trader Joe’s junkies. They shared hundreds of their most favorite products with me! Soon enough, they started asking for an official list of all the products that were shared, so they could remember to buy the things they hadn’t tried yet, but were suggested. I promised I would get that together.

Parchment Decorating Bag

Parchment Decorating Bag {Tutorial} (she: Gina)

Hi everyone, it’s Gina visiting again from Kleinworth & Co.! Are you excited to be kicking off the Holiday Season? I know that I have a whole lot of baking to do in the next couple months & I’m sure you do too. Which is probably why October 10th is Cake Decoration Day. So to help celebrate that, I thought I would share with you all a cake decorating tutorial today.
You see, my mom was an expert cake decorator & did it professionally for most of her adult life. I grew up watching her & picking up a few things here & there along the way. I so wish I had paid more attention to the finer details because now that I have all her tools I feel like I have so much to learn. There is a lot to know about cake decorating!! One thing I remember her doing ALL THE TIME was creating these Parchment Decorating Bags. When you are piping icing – these simple little disposable bags are the easiest way to draw or write on whatever you are decorating. Because they are small it makes them so much easier to handle. Let me show you just how to make your own.

Tips for Starting a Dinner Exchange (she: Allison)

Hello! It’s Allison from Tips for Family Trips. I’m straying from travel this month to share an idea that has made dinner easier for my busy family.

My family’s dinner will be delivered to our house tonight, and not by Pizza Hut. I participate in a dinner exchange with two other families where each of us cooks the same meal for all three families on one night each week. Wednesday is my night to cook. Friday is my family’s pizza night, and we often spend weekends traveling or with extended family. These days, I only cook on two nights each week.

Here are my tips for starting your own dinner exchange:
