Sabbath Activities – Write a letter on the Sabbath with one (or all!) of these fun templates Rachel created! Hello, OSSS readers! This is Rachel, from The Mormon Home, back again to share one of my favorite Sabbath activities with all of you today. I will never forget the long Sunday afternoons of my childhood….
recently, something special happened at our house! My daughter lost her first tooth! Shortly after that, she lost her second! I feel like that first tooth is such a rite of passage and there are so many things to consider about the whole tooth fairy thing like: what is the going rate these days for teeth? (seriously, choose wisely on that or you’ll end up broke). And what do we put the tooth in? Does the tooth fairy leave a note? So many tooth fairy ideas to consider!
Hey everyone! It’s Kari from Paper Wings again, with a fun easy craft for Easter! These fabric mache Easter baskets make great gifts and decor as well as being great Easter treat baskets for the kids. It can be a bit messy with the Mod Podge, so you can do this outside on the sidewalk/driveway, or on a protected surface inside. But what a great excuse to be outside in this spring weather, right?!
Today I’m sharing these sweet surprise treat carrots! They are super easy to make (as always, because I love super easy!), a fun way to hide Easter treats and a great project your kids can help you make.
Hi everyone! I’m Jessie, a new contributor here on OSSS. My amazing hubby and I have two little girls, ages three and one, who love creating, learning, and trying new things. I’m so excited to be able to share some of my preschool-oriented activities with you! Hopefully your kiddos with find these activities as fun and helpful as mine have. There should be a little something for everyone with these five ideas for Valentine’s Day.
Well the leaves have all fallen, leaving the trees bare and winter-cold, why not snap off a few small branches and create this easy, kid friendly Valentine craft?
I always love when my kiddos can help me create holiday decor pieces, it just adds so much!
Christmas is over, the new year has begun, and if your house is anything like mine, the sugar and toys have taken over. Time for a few post-holiday activities to get you and the kiddos back on track, while still having fun of course. Check out these 4 post Christmas activities to help start your new year off right:
Hi all! Sierra here from The Blue Cottage! Since this season is the perfect time of the year to focus on gratitude, I’m showing you how to make a cute little gift idea you can share with a neighbor, friend, teacher or even your mailman/lady to let them know how much you appreciate them in your life. My kids helped me put these sweet little hot chocolate snow globes together, so it’s a great activity to involve the whole family and it only takes 3 easy steps!
Crafting with candy is a sure fire way to get kids wanting to get creative. When candy is involved, I know my kids will be up for anything. 🙂 My son is a builder. He tells me that all he wants to do is build. Knowing his love for building (and candy) we used some Airheads candy to make a Snoopy Dog house.
For homeschool, we learned all about bees. Have you ever learned about bees?? Holy smokes, those things are AMAZING. In a future post, I’ll share with you some of my favorite products for teaching kids about bees. But in the meantime, I wanted to share this project with you… making BEESWAX CANDLES WITH KIDS.
These beeswax candles make great gifts (free printable gift tag included!), home decor, and fun memories of making them with the family.
I love that that Holiday Season begins with a focus on gratitude. The month of November is an ideal time to make a list of all the things you are grateful for. This festive Thanksgiving Family Night idea was created to help each member of your family understand the importance of “stuffing their lives” with gratitude for their many blessings.
